I was here to embark a cruise. I had one full day free between arrival and departing. I had visited Everglades previously and am not a big fan of beaches, so i found a limited number of things to do. I took a water taxi -spent about 3 hours on it - and enjoyed walking in Los Olas.

Lauderdale by the Sea is great for all ages, kids can enjoy the pool or ocean. beach chairs & towels seem to be available at a lot of motels, this is a great convenience to visitors. Umbertos has great pizza, we didn't eat out all the time, as it was great to pick up a few groceries at Publix or Walmart and have sandwiches/hot chicken for meals throughout our stay. Minimally a bar fridge and microwave, and coffee maker are a great asset in a room when you're there for a 7 to 10+ day stay.MichaelCanada

We didn’t want to be too nearby the loud bars and restaurants but still only a 5-10 min Uber if you did want to get to this area. The staff were incredibly accommodating and helpful and particularly loved all the staff at the sand bar grill restaurant where we had most of our breakfasts and lunches. The view from our room of the sea was just beautiful, and a little balcony to make it even more enjoyable!
