I stayed with my son just to get him away from his older brothers for a night and that made him happy, we just had to get up early for school the next day so he was bummed that he missed breakfast, but other than that the room is amazingly clean and the tempest in the room met my needs, we stayed in a king room, and it was well worth it, I will definitely be booking for a nightly getaway plenty more times.

We will definitely be returning to Annapolis!
We will definitely be returning to Annapolis! We came primarily for the Osteria 177 dining experience and it did not disappoint! Phenomenal dining atmosphere, service, and food. We walked around main street, saw the historic houses, and went in to a few of the shops. One of the things we did NOT get to experience was the John Paul Jones crypt, but that will be a focal point in the future. Very easy drive, safe colorful town with lots of history, art, and culture. Great place to visit any time of year!

I'm not sure how the city managed it(zoning like crazy), but they've been able to maintain the center of the old part of the city such that all buildings are the original historical brick buildings built in the 1700 and 1800's.
Everything is kept clean and nice. A plethora of restaurants, pubs, and bars. More than enough options for food and drink.
The Naval Academy is just to the North East, and you should plan on spending at least one day there for the museum, and another day for exploring the Academy grounds.
The Inn we stayed at only had valet parking, but everything we cared to explore was easily within walking distance, so no need for a car anyways.
If I had the chance, we would go there again. With only two days, we certainly didn't have enough time for sufficient exploration. Plan on 4-5 days, at least.

I attended the Annapolis Sailboat Show.
I attended the Annapolis Sailboat Show. The show itself can eat up the entire time it is on for, as it is such a large show. I found that I didn't get to see much of Annapolis. It is also so close to Baltimore and DC that i could have spent an entire week there over and above what i stayed.

Sailboat show was as always a great success old town is always fun and comfortable.
Sad that Chick and Ruth's Diner has dropped the Morning pledge.
always a big draw for us. Just too bad that this great tradition was dropped. Signs of the times I guess. Will look for other options in the future.
Fleet Reserve is a must. That place goes out of their way to make you feel welcome.
Make sure to spend a day at the Navel Academy. Pride in America is found at this campus.

We went for my husband's 50th USNA reunion. We used the purple van..it was great..as most of our functions were at the Westin.
If I saw correctly...in my rating you tallied a 4.0 rating...NOT correct! More like a 2.0.

The old downtown core is full of friendly peeps, tasty eats and of course the Naval Academy! It’s a very walkable town. In fact I would highly recommend walking as the parking is tough. It’s an old-old navy town so the streets are meant for walking and carriages with horses… thus not a lot of car parking. 11 out of 10 would recommend visiting Annapolis again and again!!
Clean, safe, modern, well appointed. I liked that there were trees and shade in the parking lot. I travel with a cat who lives in my car, and never goes to the rooms. Finding a shady spot to park is very important, even though I do not leave him in the car parked during the heat of the day. Always looking to park on the east side of the hotel so that the morning sun does not heat the car. before 6:00 am or 7:00 am
The location of Flag House Inn was fantastic - easy access to USNA and downtown Annapolis without being on a noisy, busy street. Our hosts were super friendly and let us park a little early. We had a room with a twin bed for our daughter and a king bed in a separate room for us - lots of space to spread out and it was nice to not be cramped. The best part was the breakfast - really amazing!
Room was spacious. Bed was comfortable. I was in room 3302 and it was very quiet which was nice.. I do have some thoughts on additional services that could be offered to quests in the next section.
The main attraction to this hotel is location, location, location. Just lovely historic and old world. I love that and have stayed several times, and would stay again.
Great location in the Annapolis art district, easy to access downtown and harbor front.
Room was large, beds comfortable.
Parking lot on site, though it is $19 per day extra.
Staff is friendly, the waitress who was in charge of breakfast very friendly and helpful.
Her sunny disposition made up for some of the negatives…
This place was very clean, and exactly as pictured. The location is very convenient to get to Downtown Annapolis, and there was street parking, which is challenging to find this close to the Naval Academy. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely look for dates in the future where it is available to stay again.
Breakfast was good.
Staff were all pleasant.
The hotel is "tired" but there's no way around the fact that it is old
Old wood, old wallpaper, old furnishin
gs, old carpet. However, neat and clean and easy to access Annapolis.
TV's should be updated
Very few offerings and we could find any ways to stream.
The Scotlaur is a good bed and breakfast for the Annapolis experience. It is the most convenient B&B for the area, and right in the middle of all the shopping, dining, events, and right next to the Naval Academy. My son and I truly enjoyed the stay.
The staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. The hotel and rooms have a fun, quirky nautical theme. Beds were very comfortable, and everything in the room was in good shape. The hotel is easy walking distance to downtown Annapolis and the academy.
The decor was fun. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The hotel seemed well maintained. The staff, except for the bartenders were friendly and helpful. The location was fine.
Such a great location and the rooms had everything you needed. Definitely made for an easy nights stay in the middle of Downtown Annapolis. The breakfast downstairs was also great.
Absolutely charming and elegant hotel. Friendly and welcoming staff. Rooms were immaculate and stylish. Location is convenient to a walking downtown, shops, restaurants.
Friendly staff. Very clean. Great location. Rooms were roomyClose to downtown Annapolis and many eating establishments. Breakfast was good with many choices.
