This is a fantastic motel ----a motel from the past. 70 years ago when I was a child my parents would take me to Motels such as this-----on cross-country road trips. I did not think they existed anymore. Clean, modest, wonderful and helpful staff and owner. It was such a pleasure to find that the genuine motel of yester year still exists.

The host Tony was friendly and accommodating. He was able to answer questions and gave great recommendations on places to eat! The room was neat, clean and comfortable. The parking was ideal and it was on walking distance to the beach and boardwalk.

The entire beach in front of Jenkinson's Boardwalk (about 3/4 of a mile of the Point Pleasant beach) was closed due to a pending lawsuit from a drowning that occurred 2 years ago. In my opinion, this is a silly response by Jenkinson's Management to something that should be seen as a risk of doing business in NJ. The Boardwalk was open. Had enjoyable family reunion lunch at Jenkinson's Ocean Pavilion restaurant.AAnonymous - 10Scored 10

Typical Jersey shore town with beaches, boardwalk, marina, gift shops, and lots to do. Love driving through the small towns to the North, especially beautiful Spring Lake. We had the worst beach weather possible but the boardwalk was very entertaining (albeit really expensive). 1 wrist bank for rides was $47.00 for 3 hours! I thought that was outrageous. Otherwise it was a great trip.Keller - 6.0Scored 6.0

Point Pleasant Beach is still a nice place to enjoy the ocean. The area is clean, the Tiki Bar and Grill has a nice selection of beers on tap as well a variety of tropical prepared drinks to choose from. The grill has the usual food; jumbo franks, juicy burgers, hot fries....etc At night families can take the children to Jenkinson's Amusement Boardwalk, plenty of chance games for the kids to win prizes. Night Life is always hopping at Martell’s while drinking and dancing to the local array of Jersey Shore Bands. Finally, a large hot thick slice of Joey Tomatoes Pizza always hits the spot with their delicious toppings!

The management was great, I give special thanks to Terry (day shift personnel), she was very pleasant and accommodate me,do to my illness. She even got me with a better room. I was very nervous because I never had stayed at a motel. Well, this place was better than a 5 star hotel. I loved the privacy since it felt like I had a small apartment. The beach and boardwalk were about 10 minutes walk. I will definitely come back.
