All was wonderful including the politeness and attentiveness of the cleaning professionals. The front area people were attentive, friendly, insiteful and helpful in every way. The valets were great. Breakfast wonderful. I really enjoyed the location of my room. The little happy hour fit the bill and certainly the dog friendliness of the hotel added to the overall charming ambience. Arras definitely was a major plus for my stay in Asheville.

Biltmore is spectacular and well worthwhile. The old historic buildings are so interesting to look at. It's nice to see the architecture preserved. The River Arts districts are a definite plus. There are many quirky, unusual and interesting shops. The pace is relaxed and people are friendly.

The Audubon Bird Sanctuary was just right for us Californians. We enjoyed the Botanic Garden and the Arboreum. We spent some time in downtown, The Blue Ridge Parkway near the city but skipped the overpriced Biltmore Estate. It is different but Weird might be a bit of a stretch compared to Austin or Portland. We missed most of the Arts district murals. Enjoyed the Cat Cafe and the Malaprop's Bookstore and the Woolworth's . We ate at the top rated 5 Points Restaurant. Great for atmosphere and food,

People we met throughout the city were friendly and welcoming. They seemed ready to accommodate tourists with open arms. We recommend taking a walking tour to get a sense of the city and its history. Biltmore was fabulous-even in the rain. The staff at Biltmore went out of their way to resolve an unexpected issue we encountered. Asheville deserves its reputation as a "foodie town." We didn't allocate enough time to see and do all we wanted.

There are a lot of weird, nasty looking people around, comprised of a variety of dirty homeless people, hippies, and sexual deviants. They generally keep to themselves, however, and we always felt safe exploring Asheville's many fine attrations.

Asheville is a beautiful city with friendly people and lots...
Asheville is a beautiful city with friendly people and lots to do. No one I've ever talked to has had anything but the best things to say about this town! Everything is compact and easy to get to. We ate at Ida's Bistro - food was good, dessert was great, but service was not so good (server didn't know the specials and then presented them badly, he seemed indifferent. We heard the manager describe the same specials to the table next to ours and the description sounded Sooooo much better!). We also had dinner at the Bistro at Biltmore's Antler Hill Village. Was a little pricey, but the quality of the food was really great, and the service spot-on.
The location was great - a B- hotel in terms of condition. All the rooms entry doors are from an outside corridor so you can hear the downtown traffic more than normal. However, for the money and the good location, it worked for the few days were in town to explore Asheville. Very fun to take the Trolley Tour from the Visitor's Center as well as dinner at the Grove Park Inn and a day to tour the Biltmore and walk the grounds. Live music at Jack in the Wood across the street and eating at Tupelo Honey great too!
Clean, updated, great location if traveling by car. Nothing really in walking distance though. Breakfast is good but not great. They have omelettes you heat up, and a waffle maker and some yogurt and pastries, juice and coffee. But for the price I don't expect a restaurant. TV has about 130 channels. Downtown Asheville is a pretty short 5-7 minute drive too. I like this Best Western Hotel enough that I've stayed twice now.
Hotel is great, brand new with very convenient location. Super friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are very clean, spacious, mattress and pillows were super comfortable, no complaints at all. Very pleasant surprise is breakfast, you could literally find everything there: hot, cold meals, yogurts, bread, juice, etc. Also very convenient and nice service was shuttle to downtown. I would definitely stay there again.
Great location. Clean facilities. Easy check-in, check-out. On-site gym. Parking lot w/ free parking. Free continental breakfast. Friendly staff. Business center. On-site marketplace. Great value for the price paid. Free Wi-Fi. CNBC channel. Very close and easy access to Downtown Asheville and Blue Ridge Parkway. Very modern looking, and well kept facilities.
The hotel very close to the entrance of the Biltmore, which is why I selected it. Also close to downtown Asheville. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. For some reason they upgraded me to a room with a jacuzzi, which was a pleasant surprise! Good breakfast, enjoyed not having to find breakfast out or submit to Starbucks.
We booked the same day and the hotel was clean, very good located, 10 min from downtown and 0 min from freeway that takes you everywhere. Friendly staff, good breakfast and very clean. Price was very good as well, no hidden charges. There is a pet fee though, but it was expected and cheaper that other hotels around.
We loved the place. It's well situated, well maintained, and the staff is nice and friendly. We were on streak of 4 hotels in 4 nights, so this one was the best, among other things in terms of breakfast quality. Room was clean. The town itself definitely worth visiting, as well as Biltmore estate.
Nice facility. Breakfast was good. All day coffee and nightly cookies are a nice touch. Fitness room is small but had all of the equipment I needed. Location is great for River Arts District and downtown Asheville. Excellent value. I highly recommend for a simple, comfortable and affordable hotel!
This hotel was awesome. It was one of the best rooms my wife and I had ever stayed in. The staff was very friendly and the bar was great. The location was amazing. I don't think the location could be any better in downtown Asheville. My wife and I had a great time! Thanks Kimpton!
Great location in downtown Ashville! walking distance from the salvage station. We travel from out of state to visit, so once we get to the hotel we love that we can park the car and walk all over instead of driving
The front desk staff and bar staff were very friendly. The location is great, right in the heart of downtown. The hotel (and Asheville in general) seemed extremely dog friendly. The beds were very comfortable.
Great quality for great price. The location is close to downtown. My husband's family lives in Asheville so we travel often and have stayed here many times. You can't go wrong with the Best Western.
The updates to the hotel were really nice and modern. Location is probably the best in Downtown Asheville. It's as centrally located as you can get! Staff was attentive and accommodating.
Best hotel experience I’ve ever had. Great choices interior wise and the staff were the best. Super comfy bed and pillows and I loved the view. Great time at the Biltmore!
