Got sick and decided it was better to stay home and recuperate.
Pigeon Forge is a family entertainment hotbed in the Great Smoky Mountains. Though ‘great’ is quite an understatement, as the sight of blue mist hovering above forested peaks is simply breathtaking.
The most famous attraction is undoubtedly Dollywood, where a steam train puffs around a host of rides and shows in a theme park named after country legend Dolly Parton. Within the grounds is the Southern Gospel Museum and Hall of Fame, and next door are pools and waterslides at Dolly’s Splash Country.
Cowboy boots should be at the ready for the singer’s Dixie Stampede dinner theatre and the Country Tonite Theater, and toe-tapping is also virtually guaranteed at the Grand Majestic Theater and Smoky Mountain Opry.
The Old Mill is a wooden watermill on the Little Pigeon River, once part of a forge complex which sparked the town’s name. Also by the river are some Pigeon Forge outlet malls and the NASCAR SpeedPark which hosts car and truck events. The Elvis Museum houses memorabilia of ‘The King’ while the Titanic Museum is a floating, half-size replica of the doomed ship.
This is just the tip of the iceberg and with Booking.com’s great deals on pet-friendly hotels and cheap motels on Pigeon Forge Parkway, you might just be tempted to do what the town’s sign requests: Y’all come back.
It was great. I'm going back with my whole family.
It was great. I'm going back with my whole family. All my kids, there wife's and grandkids. It was a lot of fun. We did alot of shopping and the Bush's baked beans tour. Went into the mountains too. We would like to go back to see the caverns under the mountains and Dollyworld, check out the flea market they have on the weekends. There so much to do there. There's alot of back roads you can take here to get places faster. There's alot of place's to eat there too. Everywhere we went to eat was very good. My favorite was the smaller diner. The worst was the family kitchen on the drag, it was way over priced and the service was terrible, and the food wasn't that good neither. But all in all I had a wonderful time.

There are many things to do that appeal to all sorts of tastes.
Favorite eating places were: "Mel's Diner", "Fort Worth Steakhouse", "The Local Goat" and "Mad Dogs".
"Sound of Soul Music" show is one of PF's best-kept secrets.
Paula Deen's Lumberjack show included "dinner" - a take-out box with a dab of barbecue, mac 'n cheese, baked beans, peach cobbler and a roll. PDL lines were long, both to get tickets and to get food. Seemed understaffed. Show was good though. If you can buy a ticket without the dinner, do that. See the show; it was fun.
Drive to Cades Cove. It's 30 miles from PF. Well-worth the drive.
We traveled with our Yorkie. At Arby's the server gave her a "pup cup", a dish of vanilla soft serve. Our dog loved it!
Explore stores on Teaster Rd. and Veteran's Boulevard.

We love the area and the friendliness the mountain has to offer. You can find that is a common theme.
However the downside is traffic. There aren’t many turn lights and a heavy flow going to wait to turn on a green light. We ate dinner at Calhouns and loved it! Service and meal was excellent!!! Dollywood is always a hit with our family!!! So family friendly!!

Getting around Pigeon Forge was relatively easy, thanks to the hotel's central location. Many attractions, restaurants, and shops were within walking distance, which made exploring the area convenient. Additionally, there were ample parking facilities available at the hotel for those who preferred to drive.
The Inn On The River is a small hotel but very nice and a good value. The location was great. It is right on the Parkway, with a nice restaurant right next door and Starbucks across the street, and it was a short drive to all the activities in Pigeon Forge. The room was nice and clean. We had everything we needed and the beds were comfortable. They served hot breakfast from 7-10 am that was really good and the hotel staff couldn’t have been nicer! I would definitely stay there again.
I looovvee this hotel! We first stayed here in August 2023 and I couldn't wait to book here again for my trip December 2023. My kids love the amenities as well, the indoor and outdoor pool, lazy river and spa. The complimentary breakfast was a hit! It's so easy to relax and enjoy your vacation at this place! The hotel is very clean with professional, friendly staff. The beds in the room was one of the best parts because they are sooo comfortable!
Good location with a soft bed in a cheap room. Multiple stays here. It's a cheap hotel and as the saying goes you get what you pay for. Be prepared. I always bring cleaning supplies air freshener and bug repellent. Rooms and bathrooms are kinda small and some are in better/worse shape than others. The front desk us usually good about giving extra pillows and towels.
Is very spacious. The queen beds were so extremely comfortable. The hot tub and pool was awesome. The room was very clean. Everybody at that hotel was extremely nice especially Gail I just LOVE HER. The cleaning crew was so nice and respectful and always there willing to help you with anything you needed I can't say enough about this place.
The location was PERFECT! Right on the edge of Pigeon Forge, before you get on the road to Gatlinburg. The staff was very friendly! It was also very quiet and peaceful at this hotel, not to mention the rooms were very nice with the balconies. We will be getting the river view balcony next time, however, the roadside view was still very nice!
Great location that allowed access to secondary streets to avoid traffic on the Parkway in Pigeon Forge. The suite was bargain priced and provided plenty of room for 4 people. It could easily sleep 5-6 if air mattresses were used. Close to Dollywood and the Cal Ripken ball fields.
This is our favorite place to stay in Pigeon Forge. The hotel is always clean and tidy, breakfast is good, staff is friendly, rooms are big and perfect for families.the pools are fun and it's located in the middle of everything. Always pick this one if it's available!
This was our first time in pigeon forge so I wasn’t familiar with the area and I just picked a hotel and I was very impressed. Everyone was nice and the multiple pools was a bonus. I even booked an extra night because I wasn’t ready to leave.
Our room was very clean, Excellent location. Staff was very nice and friendly. Alot within walking distance. This is the first time my husband and myself have been to Pigeon Forge, TN. We will very likely book this hotel again.
this was like a resort and we absolutely loved everything about our stay!! the staff were exceptionally helpful and generous, the location was perfect for pigeon forge, the hotel exceeded all expectations!
the rooms are always so very clean, this is my most favorite hotel to stay at while we are in the area. The staff is always so friendly. It's just a great place to stay!!!
Beautiful inside and out. Everyone was so friendly all through the hotel. Breakfast was wonderful . If ever back in Pigeon Forge, we will certainly stay here again.
