The hotel was close to the cruise port.

The hotel was close to the cruise port. It was a bueatiful backdrop. I was there for a short period, I just wanted to go somewhere different and I accomplished my goal. I was there by myself and felt safe. I caught several taxis, when to call a taxis, your taxis has people going other people going in the direction you are, and it’s per person. They’re not a lot of places to park. The streets are very busy.

I love Charlotte Amalie I was born and raised here.

I love Charlotte Amalie I was born and raised here. I relocated to the states years ago. My last visit was in 2018, and some of my family members still reside here. I also stayed in Estate Solberg and the driving was nerve-wrecking up and down those steep small hills. Overall, I enjoyed my stay with family and the food.

The hotel seems like it was once really nice, but it seems dated now. We had to change rooms when we checked in, the floor was stained and the air conditioner was not working. We had to request room service daily, we will not stay here again.

The town is crawling with tourists when the cruise ships are in and much of the shopping has moved to a couple wharf-side shopping malls. There were some nice restaurants. We preferred St. John and St. Croix

    Cajun style seafood was excellent!

Cajun style seafood was excellent! Escargots was a real treat as an appetizer. Had the shrimp and craw fish in bed of rice Seasoned creole style was not too hot and not too mild! Ambiance was appropriate for menu style.

My opinion is you should not travel to the Virgin Islands...

My opinion is you should not travel to the Virgin Islands until they relax the rules on covid. At night, most of the bars, clubs, and restaurants are closed and the ones that are open, they close early. Basically I was walking around looking for something to do. If you're there to just go to the beach, that's fine but the nightlife there is a ghost town now during covid. Also you do not want to go shopping either. They are so desperate to get sales that everybody bombards you with trying to sell you something. Also a tip about buying alcohol, buy the alcohol at Kmart. That's the cheapest place to buy alcohol. Also if this is your first visit to St Thomas, be prepared because the customer service is not the greatest. A lot of the sellers are not very nice and I'm being kind. I'm not saying everyone but a lot have bad attitudes. I'm part St Thomian and I tell you this from experience.

The hotel exceeded my expectations both in terms of the quality of accommodation and all the services it offers. The hotel is adequately equipped and with its surroundings offers an ideal place for rest and relaxation. The added value of the hotel is also represented by the owners, who help and advice guests with information and advice that goes beyond normal hotel services. I recommend the hotel to everyone who wants a pleasant stay in a beautiful environment with high quality hotel services.

Super friendly and helpful staff. Very affordable. Located near shops (mostly cruise ship clientele) and restaurants. Grocery store w/in walking distance. Interisland ferry dock - walking distance. On a steep hillside with beautiful views. Dining patio / reception gets a cool breeze and affords a comfortable place to relax and hang out. Nice gardens and plants along the walkways. I really enjoyed my short stay at the Galleon House in St Thomas

I appreciated that the owners tried to spruce up an old hotel using fresh paint, plants and artwork to make it as cheery as possible. This is a basic, budget hotel with no amenities, but it still met our needs for an overnight stay. The room was nice and clean and the beds were comfortable. You can easily walk to restaurants and the main shopping areas as well as several of the sightseeing areas.

Location! It’s top notch. Right in central downtown Charlotte Amalie, next to the historic Bunker Hill hotel, and close walk to all of the sites to see (like 99 steps and such). and like 3 min walk to Vendor’s Plaza where you can easily catch the public bus or public safaris to other areas on the island. and super nice and helpful staff.

The staff were super efficient and helpful. The location near the famous 99 steps is only 131 steps from the Main Street (I counted them). They have a decent swimming pool. I thought the hotel was far better than the booking.com pictures and description, they did not do it justice.

This place is a gem! It is very close to Blackbeard's castle. It is a short walk to downtown Charlotte Amalie so if you don't mind walking, you don't really need a car. The place has everything you need and decent space. Great for a couples getaway!

Room has a great view. I Iiked that it wasn’t like a hotel where housekeeping comes in every day to clean, this way we could just sit in the room and relax knowing we weren’t ever going to be bothered. The food at the bar was also really good.
