Good place to transit after arriving from the ferry in Picton. Several places to eat as a good sized town. Ate in Bamboo Garden (5 minutes walk) as had been recommended to us by people on the ferry. Food was excellent.

We stayed 3 nights in Blenheim in February.
We stayed 3 nights in Blenheim in February. The city itself is not too big but cosy. There are some beautiful parks and gardens. Breathtaking mountains views. Runway cafe on the way to Blenheim airport was quite nice. Food was delicious. Most of the time we spent exploring nearby areas. A lot of good wineries around for degustation and lunch. We travelled to Picton ( 30 min by car). Had a cruise there. Plenty of cafes on the waterfront. Visited the impressive Omaka aviation heritage centre. "Muscles pot" restaurant in Havelock was nice. Would be great if we had at least one more day to visit more places in the Marlborough region.

Opted not to hire car which I would probably change when visiting again although we did manage with walking to city centre and and utilising shuttles to get out to Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre. Omaka is an absolute jewell. We were here for Garden Raupara Springs so transport otherwise not an issue for us. We were close to a Countdown and Bamboo Garden Restaurant which was fabulous and we also visited a Japanese Restaurant. Had our wine tasting at the gardens so did not visit winery; we come from West Auckland also a hub of wineries so we were happy with just the tasting at the garden event. The shuttle who took us to Omaka was happy for just a pick up call and then took us to a garden centre for a quick look around. Very obliging! Of course I bought a plant and took it back to Auckland. Thanks for a lovely stay, can't recommend Blenheim enough!

Amazing good.
The Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre is a world-class museum showcasing WW1 and WW2 aircraft and artefacts
We combine it with a day driving in thewineries and dining at a winery.
Continental breakfast was pre-ordered the night before, and individual breakfast trays were ready at your requested time. Clean and comfortable bedroom and bathroom.
Helpful, friendly and informative host Kim who was happy for guests to use the house kitchen, dining room, big lounge and outdoor area, as well as laundry facilities and use of bikes.
Great location outside of Blenheim but very close to the Wairau Valley vineyards (for driving or cycling around), and the excellent Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre (WWI and WWII aircraft).
We did not have breakfast here. It was a one nighter. It was a rush decision due to at that time, as we were displaced due to the cyclone and our Ferry ride was cancelled twice from Picton to Wellington. We went to Blenheim to take the plane up to Auckland and out of the country ahead of our scheduled holiday at NZ. On a very positive note, the owner who was at the reception area, checked us out and was generous to let us to sit in the lobby area while we use the WIFI to book our flight out to Auckland and out of New Zealand.
My mum and I had a lovely stay at the Chateau. From start to finish, the staff were superb. Special mention for Erika, who checked us in so nicely and generally went the extra mile to make our experience at the hotel really enjoyable.
Our meals, breakfast and dinner, were delicious. The service from the restaurant staff was very good. We really liked the choice of food. The opportunity to dine in the hotel itself was great.
We will definitely be recommending the Chateau to our friends and family.
This property on a working winery is exceptional for its high level of comfort and beautifully quiet location. The simple yet clever design incorporates vistas through multiple windows at varying levels, allowing for surprising glimpses of snow-capped mountain tops at eye height. It is both comfortable and enticing - with several seating options inside and out to catch the sun.
Situated in a peaceful location amongst the vineyards between Blenheim and Renwick. Large spacious units with plenty of parking and nice outdoor patio areas. Great base if you have bikes and are cycling the wineries. Units a little tired but well appointed and comfortable. Ideal for large groups of friends travelling together. Enjoyed our stay here, such a beautiful area.
Located at the north edge of Blenheim and looking out over a sheep paddock and a vineyard to the hills, this spacious unit was all we hoped for and more. It is quiet, comfortable and well-equipped. The bathroom is modern and roomy and there is a bright spacious lounge area warmed by the northern sun. Sean and Sharon are friendly and welcoming. Thoroughly recommended.
Fantastic location, adjoining a vineyard (few minutes from airport) Beautifully maintained premises.
Sheep shearing themed cottages - old shearing tools and paintings displayed on walls
which is a brilliant idea, gives you that rustic feel, Lots of trees, birds - bird songs to listen to in the mornings
Sumptuous breakfast - Extremely relaxing - enjoyed every minute
We're always dubious of ratings as we've been caught out in motels with unwarranted high ratings before, but we're happy to recommend Phoenix as a top stay. The attention to the small details that make a great stay was superb and we couldn't find a single fault. We will be using Phoenix as our Blenheim accommodation from now on.
This is a wonderful small hotel. The manager Craig could not have been nicer. We had wonderful conversations with him and learned a lot about the area. The room was spacious, very clean and nicely appointed. It was right in town so it was very easy to walk to everything. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Centrally located and modern hotel. We stayed in the new wing so our room was very new, it was also spotlessly clean and a generous size. The king bed was amazing, very comfortable. Staff were very friendly. Good facilities onsite. Would stay again.
Very modern, clean and spacious apartment. A walk away to the city centre, restaurants and bars. Hotel manager very accommodating regarding getting to a winery that serves food as the information centre was closed.
such a delightful home! Don’t hesitate to stay here as a solo or couple. it’s a wonderful bedroom with all the comforts of home. Better than a 5 star hotel because it has the amenities yet feels homey.
Very nice bed and breakfast surrounded by vineyards, the rooms where comfortable and the service was great. Breakfast was freshly and you could choose from a few options. Would definitely stay again.
Location was great, just a short walk to city centre.
Comfortable bed and quality pillows.
All in all one of the better motels I stayed in - very clean and pretty modern.
The room was VERY spacious and, even better, VERY dark. So many motels seem to have security lights which mean that you are trying to sleep in a half-lit room.
