There is a variety of slopes to enjoy snowboarding and the proximity of other resorts gives a lot of options. Due to it were not much fresh snow during the stay, a backcountry side is yet to be discovered in future.

The buses to get to other ski fields and around Happo One are somewhat confusing but it seems that there are more buses than on the timetables so that is a bonus. Many lifts start at 8am, so ideally one would have breakfast at 6:30 so one could get an early bus, but may be a challenge finding accommodation that does this.Martin - 10Scored 10

It’s a ski and snow lover paradise. A small town with not so much city vibe, but best for snow or ski experience. It’s the idyllic charm that stands out for me. Everything u need for snow and ski experience is available there, for rent or to buy.

Hakuba is great and very welcoming.
Hakuba is great and very welcoming. The people and food are amazing. The skiing was great given the snow levels were lower than normal. The only thing to keep in mind is the bus service, while convenient can get crowded and does not run as much as it maybe should. A car would definitely be a great asset to have.Gleason

The cost was fair and the accomodation reflected that. Breakfast was provided but it was the same every morning. I would recommend Mountside Jodel as a Japanese style budget accomodation and our family with two teenage kids enjoyed the experience of staying there.

The beds are very comfortable, and the bathrooms were luxurious. Showers are amazing! The place is a short walk to all the amenities in Echoland, as well as the shuttle buses to Hakuba ski resorts. Taki as a host was incredible - he made sure he looked after us from day 1 to the end. Super friendly and helpful. He even sent our skis to the airport a few after we left so we could collect them when departing Tokyo.AlexAustralia

The accommodation was very clean, with great facilities including a drying room (for snow gear) right at the front of the hotel. Heating in the bedrooms was fantastic, and the rooms were spacious. Breakfast was also incredible! Location is perfect to access Happo One - not even a 5 minute walk. Many restaurants around within walking distance. Also close to ski rentals.

It’s a great hotel to stay at if you’re snowboarding skiing as they have storage facilities. We loved the private onsen and booked it most nights. The view of the mountains from our window was particularly magical. The staff were very helpful and attentive. We were sad to leave. Thank you Hakuba Hotel Ougiya!
