Always our number one choice when going to Chopok! Always super clean, rooms very spacious and great equipped, wellness is great, location is the best (you’re right beside the ski lift), and the food is unbelievably amazing, the most delicious in the whole region!!! Staff are so wonderful and helpful, and sometimes the owners are there too and they are also such welcoming and great people always trying make sure your stay is the best possible. We have stayed in many hotels around the world, but there are only a few we always enjoy going back to, and this is one of them!

We ended up staying at sister Hotel Bistrina, which is few steps away and has a spa (didn’t use). I’d expert they both provide same comfort. Room was good, comfortable, clean. Breakfast at the Koliba very good, nice selection. We also dined at the Koliba and enjoyed that. Location is at the beginning of Demanovska Dolina,we used car to get to Jasna because it was already out of high season. During main ski season I would suggest skibus, due to lack of parking possibilities in Jasna.

beautiful, amazing views, nice lifts and long trails, but not for the begginers, even blue trails have spots were they are too difficult for the begginers, and you have no way of knowing until you get there.

Demanovska Dolina is a verly long village, so it depends when you are going and what you want to do. If you want to ski all day, I would recommend to find accommodation directly on the slope / under the lift, as otherwise you will have to drive with your car or with a ski bus for 20 - 30 min and you might not even fit in the bus which tends to be full. However, if your aim is not solely skiing, you might want to stay in the village, as the place for walking might be better there than on the slope. The ski area is smaller than in the usual Alpine resorts, but big enough for an intermediate skier. The prices (for the ski-pass, food and drinks) are high for the value you're getting.

Demänovská Dolina is a stunning place that I recently visited. It is surrounded by beautiful nature and offers a multitude of opportunities for hiking and exploration. One of the highlights of my stay was the option to take cable cars that led me to the ridges of the hills. From there, I could embark on beautiful hiking trails with breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and valleys. It was an amazing experience to venture along these adventurous paths. Demänovská Dolina also provides a peaceful and serene atmosphere, perfect for relaxation and rejuvenation. During my walks, I enjoyed the beauty of the surroundings and the sense of tranquility that prevailed. If you're looking for a place where you can truly unwind and discover the wonders of nature, Demänovská Dolina is the right choice. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking magnificent hiking trails and unforgettable experiences.

New ski area for mediate level skiers good.
New ski area for mediate level skiers good. Well prepared slopes. Apres ski not great and no supermarket in the area only 12 km drive away. Beautiful nature and great views. Expensive for Slowakia standards (ski passess 65 euro/day, ski rental 40 Euro/day, ski lession 40 euro/per person/per hour). We will be returning with our expectations adjusted.

Skiing was very nice in these beautiful mountains but slopes are very tricky for beginners or mid-level skiers. There is not any services (restaurants, shops, kiosks etc.) outside of hotels so you are forced to have the package with accommodation and foods.

Nice area. Decent snowboarding slopes.
Nice area. Decent snowboarding slopes. The ski rental shop (the one right next to Happy End bar at the entry to the ski area) was a bit of a con billing us nearly double the rates they publish online and letting us know that only at the end of the trip - claiming the published rates are only relevant if you book online and not at the shop. I’d avoid them at all costs.

Breakfasts were ok, but the selection depends on the number of guests in the hotel.
Private skibus was fantastic.
Skiroom spacious, with private lockers, but no place to properly dry the boots. There were shelves, however without fans. Most of the locations, even of lower standard, have special racks. Every time we had to take out the inside boots from the covers and use the radiator in the room. Unnecessary complication.
Very nice and smiling staff in the restaurant and reception.
Room spacious. but no fridge and kettle.
The hotel is really clean and cozy, has a little bit of old furniture, but what matters most was the cleaning (we appreciate this more). We even had a balcony with slopes view and the room was really heated.
The breakfast and dinner had a variety of sorts of stuff and the food was delicious.
The SPA area is so incredible, it is clean and cozy as well and has warm temperatures after a long day on your skis.
Really helpful the heated locker for the skis to dry overnight. The slopes were really near the hotel.
Björnson Hotel was perfect.
- room is clean, we could choose from 4 types of pillow
- the hotel seems new or newly renovated
- breakfest and dinner was tasty and more then enough
- perfect location for skiing, you can ski into slope number 13, and ski back to the hotel door
- sauna and hot tub is really nice outside with a view on the mountains
- kids frendly place with outside playground, inside playroom with tons of toys, at dinner jar food for babies
Very nice place located deeper in the forest (300m from main location by road or 200m through forest - saw a small group of elk once when were walking back from skiing). So if you like quiet you will find it here with nature, small river. But if you want to party - it is great for that too - you should rent the whole place and you are free to play your music as loud as you please and would not bother a soul.
Super good hosts. Pet friendly. Very kind.
The place was in the amazing location, right by the slope and ski lift.
The staff was friendly and helpful.
The room was clean and cute, although not very spacious.
We had a nice balcony.
The hotel had a very small spa wellness centre suitable for 4 people.
We had a water carafe filled with water as welcome drink.
A hotel has a snowboarding/ski equipment room.
The room was cleaned every day.
The place was very nice, clean and a lot of space. House had everything we needed for cooking and comfortable stay (even a dishwasher which is amazing). Owner was very nice and helpful. Very near one of ski slopes and ski lifts. House is on a hill so if you will come by car be prepared to have chains, if it is snowing it is hart to get to the place.
This is our second season staying here. It was still amazing! Clean hotel, friendly and helpful staff, great wellness and most importantly super delicious food. Bus leaves and arrives at the front of the door, very easy to get to the ski resort.
Very clean and spacious rooms. The entire hotel is beautiful and warm . The ski bus stop is in front of the hotel. This is one of the biggest facilities. Amazing breakfast. The ski pass and Aqua park pass were included.
- The Location is awesome, righ on the slope, 200m away from Lucky ski lift
- The ski storage
- Garage parking - very useful since five out of our seven days stay was heavily snowing.
- Clean and modern
- Helpful staff
The hotel has room for skis and boots on the first floor. We traveled without a car, the land lord took us from Liptovski Mikulas to the hotel and back for free on his car passing the keys. Thanks to him.
Location of apartment is very good. In 200 meters you can "jump in" on the Ski route and after you finish you can "jump out" in the same place, so you save a lot of time and money for parking the car.
Perfect location, very close to the ski lift. The apartment was amazibg, well-equipped. All the necessary information were sent in advance so we could easily access to the hotel.
amazing place, super nice owner. very close to ski points. 2-3 restaurants walking distance. There is wood available for the chimney which is super cool
