Seogwipo has so many places to visit and have hidden gems that are not given a lot of reviews. We had a variety of food but we particularly liked the BBQ and Bibimbap. We had rented a car and navigation around Seogwipo has been easy! We loved our trip and will be coming back for more - especially to hunt for more hidden gems!

A Quite place and peaceful, nice for escape.
A Quite place and peaceful, nice for escape. A lot of nice coffee shop and good restaurants. Transportation around the city maybe inconvenient if visitor want to move quickly from a place to another. Renting a car maybe a good option. Only short visit, came for a trail run so didn’t visit much tourists place or attractions.

As I understand it, Seogwipo can refer to both the city as well as the broader southwestern region of Jeju. We did not actually go to the city of Seogwipo. There was plenty to do even closer to our village in the Andeok valley. We hiked up Mt Hallasan (the Yeongsil trail), visited the closest sandy beach at Hwasun, and took the ferry to Marado island, the southernmost point in Korea. Otherwise we spent time walking on the Olle trails and trying local food like black pork and fresh fish. There are plenty of tourist attractions around, but the natural areas are so amazing that we did not make it to these. I could probably spend months on this little island and not get bored. It can be a little daunting to get around without knowing any Korean, but it is doable, and having a host who knows English can help a lot.

It was a lovely hotel with beautiful views and beautiful room. Jacuzzi tub with a view was wonderful. The pool area spectacular. The staff was so kind, friendly and incredibly helpful. The walk to the Secret Garden was soooo secret!!😂😱 The breakfast buffet is probably one of best I’ve ever had anywhere. If you don’t have a car, highly recommend the day taxi tour!’
I’d come back in a heartbeat.
Downside is there isn’t a ton of good options within walking distance. But a short 6500 won ride to Olle Town solves that issue. There is a CU a block or so away from
Hotel.
Exceeded our expectations with renovations of rooms looking newer than expected and value for money. For the price we were very pleasantly surprised with the quality of hotel. Overall vibe of exterior and interior of the hotel was new and modern looking, comfortable. Simple hotel but can't complain given the price. Plenty of parking spots available. Good location which was close to attractions near Seogwipo, and not bad to use as a base to travel between west and east sides of the island.
Lovely place to stay in Seogwipo. The owner is a wonderful host, he gave us such a warm welcome and a full basket of Jeju tangerines, wow!
We told him that we planned to hike Hallasan, so we needed a taxi to drive us to the hiking trail so early in the morning, then he called and booked the taxi right away. We hiked Hallasan succesfully without any obstacles. We stayed for 2 nights, it felt so fast like in a blink of an eye, hoped we could stay longer and explore Seogwipo area more.
The rooms were very spacious and every bed in my room had its own courtain which gave them an extra level of privacy. The bathroom was clean and shampoo etc including toothpaste was provided. The court was pretty big and it was nice to sit around the fire to talk to other travellers. In Seogwipo the hostel is well located you cab reach pretty much everything in a walk. Busses to everywhere else on the island start from different stops, all within a few minutes.
The hotel is ideally located for visiting the Jeju Island sites if you have a hire car being half way along the southern coast of Jeju Island. The rooms were well appointed and comfortable. The views from the hotel across the sea are superb. There is a really nice infinity pool and jacuzi at the front of the hotel. The breakfast was very good, The staff were excellent, although there were sometimes queues at reception.
I booked Casaloma last minute, after a horrible experience at YOUUS hotel. As we were in a rush to leave YOUUS hotel, we reached Casaloma really early, but was greeted by a friendly employee who made an exception for us to check-in early. The room was clean and comfortable, and it felt really cozy. It was near cheonjiyeon waterfall and jeju olle market, as well as many interesting cafes.
This was a popular recommendation on Booking.com and the hotel was pretty neat. It's a little old (but only compared to the other hotels I stayed at in Jeju), but the rooms are modern enough and to be fair, pretty nice. The only thing is that the hotel was PACKED, so much so that the parking was almost impossible and I almost has to park illegally on the street in front of the Hotel.
Room is big, can see ocean and boat.. excellent location & walking distance to Seongsan Ilchulbong.. lots of restaurants & cafes nearby.. Bed linen & towel & everything in the room super clean.. Host is friendly.. Hotel no English Name in front.. Look for the address Number 14-1 to confirm the place..
No proper breakfast but lots of bowl instant noodles to choose one for free.
Location was excellent
1. Less than 10 mins walk to Seongsan - great for catching early sunrise
2. If travelling by bus, there is a bus stop right outside. Easy transfers to Jeju-si or Seogwipo. I even managed to travel inland to Bijarim forest, albeit it takes time due to infrequent buses.
Very comfortable bed with large bathroom.
Laundry facilities available
This hotel is fabulous! Jae, the hotel manager, is awesome. He is the best!!! He always had a smile on his face and was happy to help. He arranged a taxi driver to show us around Jeju. The driver was wonderful. The hotel is clean and the location is excellent. I wish I could have stayed longer here. It was delightful.
We thought that the value of the room was excellent - it was very affordable, the room was spacious and clean, the gentleman who checked us in at the front desk was very friendly and spoke good English. The hotel was also a short walk (10min) to the Seogwipo olle market - definitely worth checking out.
Place is superbly clean, in both the stairs as well as the room, bed, etc. Cleaner than most high level hotels. Rooms are roomy with amazing view of the south Jeju ocean, close to beautiful ocean side walk ways.
And the host is super friendly and helpful.
right beside a market, close to bus stops, comfy air conditioned room that was very clean. The hotel staff was super nice & had a free waiting area for baggage which was a huge plus as our flight leaving jeju wasnt until later in the day:)
The location was perfect for walking around Seogwipo area. It was close to the port, Olle Trail Route 7, and cultural areas including Art museum, Olle traditional market, etc.
The parks near the hotel were also great to walk around.
Good location for first time visitors of Jeju. Free parking. A lot of restaurants in the neighbourhood. Very nice hotel, clean room and bathroom, very good beds.
We would definitely book this hotel again.
Price-Quality is TOP.
Great location in central Seogwipo only a short walk to the food market. Large car park which was handy for our hire car and free parking. Room was a good size annd comfortable and for the price, the hotel was very good.
Location is great - view is amazing, allowing to see fisherman boats go out to the see and famous Jeju female divers going out in front of the hotel. Outside jacuzzi is a must do.
Good location in Seogwipo. Close to bus stations for when you want to travel to other parts of Jeju. Also very close to Lee Jun Seop Street and Jeju Olle Market. Friendly staff.
The seaview room is awesome, i like the room so much, will definitely come back again if i go jeju. There have lots of restaurant nearby hotel. The hotel is at central.
