Cosy older place and lots of room. Bar next door which was handy. Suoermercado one and a half kms further on so we were able to cook own own meal.
While we stayed in Furelos, we were a short walk to Melide.
While we stayed in Furelos, we were a short walk to Melide. We loved the food especially the octopus at Garnacha. Additionally, we enjoyed visiting St. Anthony Chapel. There are many stores should you need to pickup supplies on your Camino route.
The property is a converted large residence. The grounds and the building are in a phenomenal state, are extraordinarily well cared for. The floor and wall tilework, the bathroom fittings, and the windows are of extraordinary quality.
There is a small pool in the back for use by guests. No food on the property, but many restaurants nearby. The property is set back two blocks form the main road cutting through the town.
Bed is large and comfortable, of a quality to be expected in a 3.5 star hotel.
Very attentive staff.
Lovely homely hotel. Very comfortable room and given the quite low temperatures for June we were thrilled with the heated bedroom. The woman who served us in the bar had excellent english as she worked in London in the seventies. Staff were lovely. We had a great nights sleep which set us up for our onward camino journey. A light breakfast was also available in the bar before we left next morning which is always welcome.
The property is absolutely beautiful and you’ll find it soon after you cross the bridge into Melide. The owners are so helpful and kind. We were welcomed with beer or coffees, received assistance with laundry and had the most amazing breakfast that included many kinds of fruits, breads, homemade jam, espresso, juices and other delicious treats. I can’t say enough about Casa Ardo. Highly recommend!
EXCELLENT! There is no other word to describe the whole experience of staying at this hotel. The modern and spacious room was a breath of fresh air while doing el Camino, the food was spectacular and had several vegetarian options and the service…I cannot speak highly enough of how well treated I felt after being injured. They go above and beyond in EVERY SINGLE aspect of hospitality.
A small Albergue in the center of Melide was clean and cozy, just on the camino road. Host was so nice and friendly. The rooms were only for four person and bathrooms were functional. Towels were included and self-serviced breakfast was also included and it was great! Fresh bread and orange juice etc. Very goood value for money! The city of Melide did not impress. Gracias!
Location is right on the Camino in Melide. Jacotrans lost one of our bags, this stage, and the owner when absolutely above and beyond to call them, previous Albergue to help locate. The bag arrive later that evening, and we are grateful!
Very reasonable, clean and safe for a group of 4 women traveling together.
We loved the warm and personal relationship with those who looked after our needs including driving us to the bus stop so that could make our onward journey The room it’s self was at the top end of our experience of hotels the breakfast was wonderful Put simply a wonderful experience go it is great
An old hotel next to a busy highway. Room was ok and so was the bathroom. We were the only guests at the restaurant. I guess it was past high season. The personal were were nice and helpful. Even if the hotel was old and might need a facelift, we slept well for a relatively low penning.
Oh my goodness this place is an absolute gem. A little touch of luxury at a very affordable price. Just steps away from the camino and within very easy reach of the town so not too far for weary feet to find a place to eat. Ana was so helpful too.
I highly recommend this hotel.
We were well received. There's a well equipped kitchen diner and laundry facilities. €3 for the washing machine but drying is free.
Melide has good restaurants, supermarkets and Pension Orois is on the Camino route.
A perfect place if you don't Want to go all the way to Arzua.
This was a clean, comfortable, friendly albergue. The shared room was spacious, bright room with a shared bathroom. The owner and staff were friendly. It is located on a quiet street, so there was no noise at night, a plus in Spain.
Location superb - very central. Brand new hotel which is very clean. Onsite parking (chargeable) which was very useful.
Front rooms have floor to ceiling windows that overlook the park. Very comfortable.
Really modern hotel right on the Camino, next door to
Great restaurants and bars with a coffee maker in room and laundry facilities for travelers. Absolutely first class.
This hotel is amazing!! Beautiful rooms, great restaurant, and they did our laundry (washed and dried)!! The service was amazing!! The beds are very comfortable!
