Tiny House Stays House 1, hotel in Sanctuary Point

Featuring air-conditioned accommodation with a patio, Tiny House Stays House 1 is set in Sanctuary Point. The holiday home is 49 km from Mollymook Golf Club.

Yes this place is tiny but is a neat and practical place to stay for just singles and couples. The block has 8 well placed shipping container sized tiny homes with its own parking lot at the front of the block. We stayed in house 1 at the front. It's only a short drive to everywhere in Jervis and a short walk to the The Country Club (St. Georges/Vincentia) down the road. Would stay again as long as the price stays reasonable during appropriate times.

Sanctuary Point is mainly residential housing.

Sanctuary Point is mainly residential housing. There are no tourist activities unless you have your own boat. There are no eat in restaurants in the evening. There is a small row of takeaway shops, Indian, Chinese, Pizza and fish and chips. To us these all looked very grubby and uninviting so we didn’t use any of them. Everything closed at 7.00pm, except maybe the fish and chip shop. Take away is all well and good if you can eat it in your accommodation. We couldn’t and I suspect many more here would be difficult too. We ended up buying snacks from the petrol station and missing the evening meal.

Joe and Sonia are very friendly people.

Joe and Sonia are very friendly people. They will go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable within their home. We had our own private little courtyard which was perfect and a bbq we could use. Sonia supplied us with some breakfast goodies for us. The atmosphere of the place was astonishing. The basin was just as beautiful especially when watching the sunset. I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves to travel. My partner and I will definitely be back.

Beautiful area - we had stayed down in Hyams Beach before so used it as a one-night stop in a longer road trip. Wish we had allowed more time though! Sunrises were spectacular and you never get tired of things to do here. Hyams Beach and similar beaches 10-15 mins away Shops 3-5mins away (with multiple options) Roads can be a little confusing without a GPS at first, but you find your way :)

We had dinner one night at the bowling Club across the road from the accommodation. Then we went to Huskisson RSL a couple of times. We had Fish and Chips for the Fish Shop in Huskisson - you can understand why they were rated No.3! We did the twilight cruise, just great. We also visited the Maritime Museum where the Ferry the Lady Denham is! Loved the place. The Booderee National Park is a bargain for a very small fee you can have 2 day access. There are plenty of beaches and 2 light houses and plenty of walks and hiking trails! Take a picnic lunch! You can camper there but you need to book!

The main problem was that the room above us had a wooden floor so we could hear every step they made ( and boy did they walk up and down) and this continued until around midnight and started again around 7.30 the next morning. The only time we got any kind of peace was when we were out. To sum up.the problem was a wooden floor and very inconsiderate guests one of the guests was wearing what sounded like high heel all the time. So I can say we were pretty much over the place by the time we left.

A quiet and attractive small town with everything you need to get away from the hustle and bustle of busy places. Lots of lovely walks if you have dogs or just want to stretch your legs and the lake is just as lovely to look at as fish on or boat. Kangaroos have a special place in the town grazing along the verges or in their park, and dogs have a fully fenced dog park too. Coffee at the boat ramp in the morning is mostly shared with the water birds (mid-Covid and winter so could be very different in the summer).
