We stayed here for 2 nights and used it as our starting point for exploring the golden circle and, believe me, it is very well located for this purpose. The cottage is not brand new and its age can be observed but this is not an issue. It was clean, it has a small hot tube right near the entrance and all the facilities one may need for cooking and having cosy nights. There was heavy wind during our stay but we still managed to use the hot tub. The heating system is interesting… we dont like very high temps while bathing but since you have an on/off switch you can tune the right temp for every taste (unlike many other hot tubs in Iceland which are simply too hot and you can’t change their temp). There is one room with a double bad and another small room with a bunk bed. We were two couples but we didn’t find it annoying… it’s fine as long as you know it in advance and dont have other expectations. The price we found was simply the best reported to the area and the quality matched the price.
