Great experience staying in the ice hotel. We stayed in the basic ice rooms since they were much cheaper and you can visit the carved rooms before 8pm. Food was lovely in the Laavu restaurant and breakfast was also very nice. Sleeping bags for the ice hotel were cosy and warm which made for a comfortable sleep.

If you want peace and quiet and a lovely view of the Altafjord - then this small family hotel is perfect for you!

Breakfast was great and so was the staff. Everyone was so friendly and nice. Made you feel right at home. The location is a bit far from town but its worth it if you're looking to be immersed in nature. The lodge offers lots of tours and activities.

The place is really amazing. It’s obviously quite expensive, and there are just the two restaurants. But it’s all worth it for the amazing location, excursions and pleasantness.

We loved our experience at flatmoen! To be honest it wasn’t huge but had everything we needed in the cabins. 1. The temperature was nice and cozy we loved the little touches such as the heated flooring and mini fireplace. 2. We used the stove to cook lunch and dinner during our stay. Breakfast by the accommodation was also delicious. 3. We wanted a relaxing trip away and flatnoen delivered. the best views in winter, go during march . Plenty of snowfall but it gave a lovely view to wake up to. We absolutely loved the hot tub in minus degree weather as well. 4. It is best to rent a car but you can easily find a taxi via the “alta taxi app” - each trip to the town centre would cost around 300-400 kr . For a scenic walk, it took us about 30-40 mins to the bus stop - the bus will take you to the town centre. 5. There is even nature - we saw a wild moose and her calf from the cabin and it was magical! 6. Sale of alcohol in Norway can only be bought at the only liquor store at amfi mall in alta. Beers can be bought at the supermarket but no sale after 8pm. Restaurant able to serve alcohol till 11.
