Lymington is a charming seaside town with a real boating culture. The shops are charming and there is a good selection of places to eat or drink. It has a quaint atmosphere and prides itself on its seawater bathing pool.
We only stayed one night but are definitely planning to return.

Beautiful town with everything you could need.
Beautiful town with everything you could need. Plenty of great cafés and restaurants. We stayed at the Angel and Blue Pig in the High Street which was a perfect location and would recommend. We also ate at Rivaaz Indian restaurant which we couldn't fault, perfect! Loved the walks around the town and the harbour. We will definitely go back.
Overall this hotel was a mixed bag, but I did like it very much and would comeback again, price dependant.
-For me the bed is the most important thing in a hotel room and they knocked it out of the park. I’ve slept in a lot of hotel rooms this year and this was the most comfortable bed I’ve slept on by far!
-The room is looks nice and is kitted our with everything you need.
-The staff were lovely
-The location was perfect, only minutes from Lymington or the new forest.
-Also a peaceful quiet location
We were in a unique setting and were provided with all the facilities we needed to have a wonderful 2 days in Lymington and the New Forest. Coffees, Comfortable beds . Nice sofas and tables to have drinks and dinner around, great car parking and facilities 5 mins walk away / amazing restaurant the Haven . Great views both from morning through to night . Would highly recommend above a hotel as was such a different experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and Birthday girl had an unforgettable time .
Beautiful gardens and a lovely pub/hotel. We had a super room with a large and very comfy bed, very well equipped and a little balcony.
The staff were super. Ben,the hotel manager, was very welcoming, sorted out an error with a wine order promptly and showed he cared about customer service. The breakfast waitresses were very friendly and helpful. The whole place is very dog friendly.
The property was perfectly located just off the High Street in Lymington. It’s a small property but it’s been very thoughtfully kitted out to make the most of the space. It was very comfortable and cosy for me and my husband. The owner had even put some little Christmas decorations in the window so we felt very festive!
So quirky and different but spotlessly clean. Owner Toby was so relaxed and hospitable. He makes a fabulous breakfast as well! We booked one room and received a private beautiful sitting room as well. Really a very special place and fantastic location. 2 minutes walk to Harbour and Main shopping street.
Excellent location, fantastic property with character with pool at the back, clean and tidy. Owners make a huge effort to make our stay nice without any hassle, they made us feel so welcome, very helpfull during the stay. I will returnt to the hotel in the future and recomend it from my heart.
The size of the apartment rooms were bigger than most houses. The living area was nice and spacious allowing kids to run around. The bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen were all decent sizes with enough storage spaces. The hotel surroundings and gardens were really well maintained and kept clean.
Tobias is a fantastic host, his hotel is close to everything Lymington has to offer. He was always able offer recommendations on things to do and places to eat and his breakfasts get the day off to the perfect start.
The location is great only just round the corner from The Bosuns Chair which is our favourite pub in Lymington. The bed was very comfortable. We managed to park nearby for the whole week of our stay.
This is a very nice hotel. It has wonderful grounds to walk around and lots of places to sit and relax. Staff were excellent. It is well placed in the New Forest. The bathroom was very large!
Excellent full English breakfast and very comfy beds. Property was within walking distance of Lymington High Street and several excellent inns which provided very good meals.
Lymington can be a noisy, crowded town but Highfield offered the quietness you need for a restful sleep with the bonus of bring a 5 minute walk to the glorious High Street
Lovely friendly host, easy to find and easy to park. Short walk to Lymington high street, and given good recommendations for an evening meal. Lovely breakfast.
