Tropical Boutique Hotel & Resto, hotel in Pingwe

Situated in Pingwe, 300 metres from Michamvi Pingwe Beach, Tropical Boutique Hotel & Resto features accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge.

Very quiet at the time of our stay. Really tropical garden look. Very kind owners and staff. Big warm pool like a thermal spring, food was OK, big portions. The room was clean, double-bed was harder, but that is what we like, so it was totally fine with us. On arrival lady informed us if the bed was hard for us, they could provide softening mats, so do ask when you like softer. 3 calm friendly dogs. Cheff was ill so the restaurant had limited capacity. The beach was close. Even if it does not belong to the best ones, clear turquoise waters were close and the sandbank allowed you to get there also in time of low tide. Some hotels are cleaning beach in front of their area from the seaweed, but some others don't. Many seashells, white sand. The Rock restaurant is very close. We did enjoy our stay anyway. Lovely snorkeling trips to the Blue Lagoon and starfish area.

Bibi Mrembo Guesthouse, hotel in Pingwe

Bibi Mrembo Guesthouse is a beachfront property situated in Pingwe, a few steps from Michamvi Pingwe Beach and 24 km from Jozani Forest. The property has sea views.

Wonderful host Carol. Right on the beach. Shared shower and toilet etc but the host makes up for everything if this might put you off. Try this place please. This is for back packers I guess but everyone should experience a place like this. You don't often get the chance to stay in a lovingly decorated and maintained property with a host whose authenticity and honesty shines through everything. And we only stayed ONE NIGHT!! I wish we could have stayed longer but we had other plans. As we waited for the taxi to arrive to leave, she made tea for us and gave us a home made pineapple ice lolly! What more could you want!!??

Dreamland Bungalows Michamvi Kae, hotel in Pingwe

Set in Michamvi, 300 metres from Michamvi Kae Beach, Dreamland Bungalows Michamvi Kae offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant.

The staff was really friendly. The breakfast was very tasty and the bungalow was incredibly nice. It felt safe there, because all people coming in would pass the staff. It's directly next to the beach (although when it's flood you have to go about 15 minutes to the next part of the beach to lie down as the water here is too high then). Also a beautiful garden. We had a great stay!

Princess of Zanzibar, hotel in Pingwe

Situated in Michamvi, 100 metres from Michamvi Kae Beach, Princess of Zanzibar features accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge.

International breakfast was the norm wich was tasty and can make europeans feel at home but local breakfast could be arranged too if requested wich I loved so much and was SO filling. Dinner is priced reasonable, a little higher than surrounding places but portions are HUGE and quality and taste is 20/10. All dishes are very fresh and the chef is a sweet soul. The owners are very transparant and well organised. They have trustworthy connections to arrange all activities you can think of and are very happy to help any time. The place offers a sense of privacy wich I loved. I can imagine it also being a very good place to celebrate with a group of friends as they offer the facilities (swimmingpool, bar, line wall, high quality music installation, game are). I really felt looked after and will definitely visit them again. Cleanliness and hygiene is 20/10, the place always looks and feels polished. Rooms are well equiped, for hot nights, beautifully designed and mosquito protection can be bought from them (wich works well and is way cheaper compared to buying it at home if you travel from Europe). Excellent location and such sweet and caring staff. Couldnt have felt more safe here. Wifi is free and very high speed.

    The area is not bad.

The area is not bad. Beside the neighboring village there are mainly resorts and hotels in this area, so not much population and traffic like in the city. Very peaceful for proper restful vacation. It’s very easy to get around Pingwe, with rent a car. The road to Pingwe is a little bit with holes but they were fixing them around that time. Things to do is visiting Jozani forest and natural aquarium which is very close, where you can see the monkeys and the turtles as well as the mangrove. Paje is minutes away, where you can have a cold savana on the rooftop.

Hardly anyone had heard of Pingwe in Stone Town, they all thought I meant Pongwe. This is because it seems Pingwe is more of an up and coming area. The beaches are beautiful, it's lovely and quiet, hassle is at a minimum, there is a lovely breeze and the views are fantastic. I highly recommend Pingwe for your next trip to Zanzibar.

It's lovely on that side of the island, but not exactly a swimming beach as too many rocks and sea urchins. Paje, further down is a lovely swimming beach and popular with kite surfers. Sunset Beach, past Pingwe, is a lovely beach for swimming and watching the sunsets at the beach bar!

This is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. All of the staff are extremely warm and friendly, and they provided services that far exceeded our expectations. Jacqueline at the front desk helped us book all of our activities, gardener Jonny took us on a tour of the gardens, the Chef helped us cook the fish we caught ourselves, and the restaurant servers would open fresh coconuts for us... We will definitely return, for the beautiful and captivating sea of Paje, as well as the lovely Hekaya.

We got a warm welcome when we arrived while we waited for the room to be ready as we were early they allowed us have breakfast for free. They upgraded our room which was decorated with flowers around the door and petals as we walked into the room. it was just perfect! The seafood platter was the best me and my fiancé had it everyday from the grand bleu restaurant. it was a peaceful and relaxing environment around the hotel just what we needed.

Beautiful hotel fully integrated in the environment. Staff if extremely gentle. Great customer service always available to satisfy any request. Some of the facility may be renovated but anyway everything is very clean. Sellers on the beach disturb during the day. Good that there is a limit they cannot go through so they don't come close sunbeds. Anyway there is hotel security to keep them away.

This was a huge property along with their smaller property called Amani Boutique Hotel. Because of their distance from the airport the transportation fees could be a bit higher but this place has it all. From the company that does scuba to all your other tours. Excellent food. Bathrooms could be a better but that’s nothing.

Zanzibar, like Tanzania, has an amazing vibe and people. We have enjoyed every moment there! The Villa was so beautiful, truly like in the photos! Pool was perfect, restaurant bar served delicious food and drinks. Beach is as shown, super close, with white sand, warm water. Everything was as on the photos.

It was a tropical paradise, close to the beach and to the road, but no noise and so beautiful. We had a lovely time talking to Agustin, who was so helpful and interesting! It was a new hotel, so it had no ratings when we booked, so that felt like a risk, but we were so happy we made the jump!

Great service from check in to check out. The rooms were amazing and the entire staff was outstanding. This was the third hotel we stayed at during our vacation and I wish we spent the entire time at the Sands. This will be our first choice when we come back to Zanzibar.
