The undisputed Tenerife party capital, Playa de las Américas is a year-round resort of sun, sand and sizzling nightlife. At the foot of volcanic mountains stretching up to Mount Teide, its long beach is comprised of imported golden sand. Tenerife’s natural beaches – such as that in northern Puerto de la Cruz – are actually black sand.
Los Cristianos and Costa Adeje neighbouring Playa de las Américas also have golden beaches, and all are lapped by warm, turquoise waters. Watersports are a popular activity, and the area boasts Siam Park with its hair-raising waterslides, rapids and a host of swimming pools. There’s even a wave pool where you can surf!
Outdoor pools are also found in the Playa de las Américas accommodation on Booking.com, including 5-star resorts, cheap hotels and self-catering apartments. Aqualand has yet more flumes and pools, as well as a dolphinarium.
Dolphins and whales can also be spotted from boat trips along the coast. Other activities include Golf Las Américas, the Canaries’ largest golf course.
However, it’s what happens after dark that’s the biggest draw. The Patch complex has family-friendly bars with food, while the bars, clubs and casinos of the Starco shopping centre and Verónicas strip only really kick in at after midnight.

We normally stay in Adeje but because of the steep hills that are unavoidable decided to try Las Americas. We were last there in the 90s and were pleasantly surprised how upmarket it has become. Obviously lots of investment has been made and we have rebooked our holiday for next year.

for a Nordic person, tired of sunless days Playa de las Americas is the perfect destination even in the month of February!
Several perfect sandy or rocky beaches, walking distance form one each other....The place is filled with nice restaurants, bars and terraces;
The location is a paradise for family and non-kids alike!
As a family we spent also amazing times with kids in both water parks available (free busses to the location) zoo and delfinario!

We always stay at cleopatra Palace or sir anthony because they are in the nicest bit of las americas right beside the musical fountains with excellent restaurants and shops. We eat in Bianco, taipan, empire and Thai . I book online with venture (download app) before we travel as they are very popular and excellent quality. Our favourite bar is Magic , in front of cleopatra and next to hard Rock Cafe.the beach in front of hotel is beautiful soft sand. Harry's bar is usually mobbed and too expensive but it is a prime spot overlooking fountain. We book bed &Breakfast at hotel because restaurants outside are unmissable.

This resort has changed enormously since a short visit 30 years ago and I must say it probably has ‘something for everyone’ as the cafes, restaurants and shops seem to cater for all requirements. From up market clothing stores in gorgeous complexes not out of place in Dubai, Paris or London to neighbourhood ‘touristy’ neighbourhood style mini markets, they’re all here. More restaurants than you can shake a stick at, our favourite pastime was strolling the incredibly long seaside walk and stopping for a while in the sun for a coffee, beer and pastry.

Tenerife is the island of permanent spring, so the weather is neither too hot nor too cold, it is optimal during all year. Flat large cleaned beach of soft black sand is very comfortable. It is cleaned every morning. If you like surfing then it is yours.

Åt ingen frukost eller annan mat på hotellet.
Overall the hotel is quite good but there are some minus: it was very very noicey at daytime ,loud music all day, many halfdrunk Youngsters from UK scriming It’s a UK charter all inclusive hotel.
Pools and the outdoor jacuzzi were freezing, only the halfdrunk younsters from UK did use it.
The kitchen in the apartment lack some things as a knife for cutting meat e.t.c and corcskrew, a scissor,
The SPA cost 15 euro/2 hours, expensive
Maxi and scenographic hotel where find a very good service (extra ones, like room service not too expensive either). Very funny pools and very good buffet (both at breakfast and at dinner). The hotel is directly on the beach. In the beach (which I remember not being owned by the hotel but it is a free beach) you can find free umbrellas and deck chairs. The position is good. The balcony is very usefull.
Despite the negatives mentioned below a good hotel mainly for services
The accommodation exceeded my expectations:
- apartment was spacious enough (I expected it to be somehow smaller based on photos)
- place was very clean
- well equipped kitchen for basic cooking
- nice sea view from the balcony (we were on 7th floor)
- pool was a nice plus even though we didn't actually use it
- good location, close to bars, restaurants etc. A bit quiet during lockdown, area around Playa de las americas was more lively (ca. 12 mins walking)
Staff were all really friendly! The food was amazing, never really expect too much from a buffet type restaurant, but all the food was perfect. Room was cleaned daily, hotel was VERY covid safe, temperature check every time you return, sanitiser all around the hotel, and disinfection of public areas. We really enjoyed our time being all inclusive, and everything was catered for!
10/10
We had a week all inclusive here. The hotel is located an easy 20 minute stroll from the main part of the town though there are also a couple of shuttle buses per day. The hotel is spotless, buffet meals are wonderful and the staff are super friendly. We had a one bedroom family villa which had a lovely private garden and lots of space inside as well.
Good breakfast with decent various options.
Staff lovely and helpful.
Room was ok-ish, hotel seems in need of renovation, old doors not closing smoothly, so you wake up 7.30-8.00 when doors start slamming. Actually some renovation was in progress already, but not sure the inconvenience was priced in.
Location good, 10-15 min walk to the ocean.
We had a Mountain View but it actually faced the Main Street and the mountains were in the distance. Sitting on balcony the street was your biggest view. Room wasn’t extremely large but fine for 2 people and you couldn’t beat the price The pool was huge and heated which we appreciated. Nice walkway on the beach behind the hotel.
Heated pool, location, the weather, cleaning ladies, helpful reception staff, large room. Just love hotel, stayed there few times and booked more future trips already. Its right on the beach and plenty of restaurants and bars outside. Right in center of everything. Excellent self-catering option. Covid safe too
Comfortable bed and a quiet room. Lots of storage cabinets. Nice to have a work desk too. The buffet breakfast was really good. Staff were friendly and helpful. Checking in and checking out was easy and fast.
There are lots of stores and restaurants close to the hotel. And the beach is a fairly short walk too.
The hotel was clean and the location was excellent. Right on the beach! When we were leaving we checked out but our flight wasn't until that evening. We were able to still use the pool facilities and there were showers in the pool bathroom area for us to freshen up and change before our flight!
The breakfast offers a wide variety of food and (fresh) drinks. The location is also a great advantage because both hotels of the resort are on the beach and next to lots of good restaurants and shops.
We really like the location, we have visited the area many times, out of the front of the hotel, you can go in 4 different directions to experience many of the wonderful sights the area has to offer.
Living area was nice and comfortable, very spacious. In general Parque santiago apartments are very good and Playa de las americas is probably the nicest place on Tenerife. We will come again.
It is not a bonus anymore to have a pool, because nowadays almost every hotel has one, but i'm going to give it a like for the pool area (which was a normal pool, nothing special!!!)🙁
Nice boutique hotel from early 2000s . Little dated now but the pool is amazing. Not walking distance to the town but short drive /taxi and The pool makes up for it
Breakfast and dinner spreads were excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel was spotless. Entertainment in the evening was very good
