Friendly and safe town. Easy to get around.
Friendly and safe town. Easy to get around. Avoid being ripped off by taxi drivers. The falls are a sight to behold, it was majestic. Zambesi cruise is a to do activity, have dinner in one of the restaurants afterwards. Instead of buying at the town market, take a trip to Mukuni village for affordable souvenirs to take home.

Lovely quaint little town, friendly people and clean.
Lovely quaint little town, friendly people and clean. Mosquitoes weren't too much of an issue. We walked the whole length of the town in one day, enjoying the sights and sounds. Very USD focused though, so plan accordingly.

Definitely one in the lifetime experience to visit this area.
Fine small airport to fly in and out.
It gets a bit hot during some of the months.

We booked a tour to Livingstone Island and Devil's Pool through LIFE ON THE EDGE. It was an awesome experience. Highlight of our trip. We paid $120 USD per person. Other tours charge more on viator and get your guide, but this is the only company that runs these tours so do not overpay by going through a middle man. Book directly. We felt safe the entire time. Well worth the money!

Getting around Livingstone was convenient as one can walk around the town or easily catch a taxi at an affordable price. There are many different cuisine options, be sure to try the local foods which were quite tasty. The Zambezi river cruise was my personal favorite activity.

Know the best time to visit the Falls as they are not the same year round. I went in October and the Zimbabwe side of Mosi-oa-Tunya was abundant whereas the Zambian side was dry. The best time to go to Livingstone for the falls is in March or April.
Activities are on the pricier side and may not appeal to regional travellers.
You can take a taxi to Chobe, it's 45 minutes away from Livingstone, so you can combine a safari with a Livingstone stay.
Avani is the most spectacular lodge in Zambia/Victoria Falls ..there are wild zebra and giraffes that roam the property and drink out of the pool ..they have so many activities to offer the guest ..you can book one day safari’s from the hotel and a rhino walk with the anti poaching unit ..incredible friendly staff very helpful ..best breakfast buffet in Zambia
The hotel manager is a real problem solver. A situation occurred that locked me out and with help from others the hotel manager made sure that it was solved. Also, very present and I could talk to him whenever needed.
Breakfast a la carte was very nice.
It’s in a park, so the chance you see animals in morning was realistic. Did not see though.
Excellent service - staff members were very friendly and helpful, especially Ngoma at reception. He went over and beyond to accommodate our requests. Restaurant and bar staff as well were exceptional, especially Titus and the manager. Highly recommend staying here when in Livingstone, it's located close to many amenities, good value for money
We enjoyed our stay at Okavango Lodge. The placed offered everything we needed. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. They were also very adequate to take action if something needed to happen, which is a big bonus in Zambia :). We also really enjoyed our breakfast every morning together with Frodo the cat.
We couldn't be happier with our decision to stay at The David Livingstone Safari Lodge. Our experience was fantastic. Beautiful hotel right on the Zambezi river, and all the staff were super friendly and helpful. An extra nice touch to receive a personal card from the team to wish us well on our honeymoon!
I loved the staff. They all were very attentive and friendly. We were able to book a Sunset Cruise. A very good value with traditional music mixed with dancing music. We were picked up at the Guesthouse and drop off afterwards.
We also went to see Victoria Falls!!! What an absolute GREAT EXPERIENCE!!
It was a great hotel. Staff could not have been more friendly. Pool was clean and lovely. Beds were comfy. The green space inside the hotel made the place feel cool and quiet, even though its right in the middle of town. Activities we booked worked really well. Altogether a great place.
Superb staff and amazing place close to the bus station. Clean and tidy environment. WiFi only available in the cafe/restaurant. Hot showers available. Shoprite supermarket just across the hostel. Walkable distance to minibus/taxi stand for heading yo Victoria falls/ zimbabwe border
The staff was very friendly and helpful, giving advice during my stay for all my questions and even coordinating tours. Breakfast was great and personally prepared for me. I enjoyed my time at Okavango Lodge and highly recommend it. The location is close to the center of Livingstone.
First class hotel in great location, first world treatment in a poor country .. restaurant on site opened the whole day, great breakfast, daily free bottled water, mosquito nets, staff friendly and responsive
The breakfast was delicious, served by friendly and very professional Staff. The Lodge is 10 minutes walk from Livingstone Town. The place is very clean and very beautiful. It exceeded our expectations!!
Second stay in this hotel, everything was excellent like the first time. During power shortages in Livingstone hotel was producing its own electicity so we did not feel any discomfort.
We wanted accommodation that was close to the city centre. The lodge is within walking distance to Livingstone city centre. Excellent service with friendly and helpful staff.
Wonderful, new hotel on the banks of Zambezi river. Truly beautiful property, comfortable and spotlessly clean rooms. The staff is the friendliest. Great value for money.
