A quiet residential area, which was perfect for the 2 of us for the week. A car is a must. We took the opportunity to drive out and explore everyday. The villa, had everything we needed and more. Some nice finishing touches, food basket, rolled up pool towels in a basket, plenty of garden furniture, lovely garden areas. Norman, the owner was easy to communicate with regarding a couple of queries we had. If we ever found ourselves in Lanzarote and wanting to stay in a villa, I wouldn't look elsewhere

Lovely prom, nice for a morning stroll, soon the flat. The walk from Puerto del Carmen to Puerto Calero is more strenuous but worth the effort. The views over the sea are beautiful and the walk takes an hour. If the return walk proves too much, take the ferry back, single trip costs €9pp and takes half an hour. There are many restaurants in Tias, our favourite was Moritoni but if you eat after 6pm, be prepared to have to wait. Excellent food, great service and reasonable. Lidl is located in this area if you are self catering. We walked there and stocked up and got a €5 taxi back.

Not much in Tias itself, but a great well stocked supermarket with lots of fresh produce, easy to park, ATM. Several cafes and tapas in Tias. I would say car essential and then travel around the island. Plenty to see and do in the surrounding area.MarkUnited Kingdom - 10Scored 10

Tias & in particular Puerto del Carmen is a great short stay...
Tias & in particular Puerto del Carmen is a great short stay location. Flights from UK & Ireland are typically 4 hours so you need a week here at least. The Avenida area is perfect for access to beaches, numerous good quality restaurants that offer incentives to dine there. Cleanliness is spot on as the road sweepers operate invisibly very early in the mornings, and every day. No problems with rowdy behaviour, no experience of theft or violence and this is our 4rd visit this year. Great for couples, families as children are made welcome everywhere. The taxi service is excellent, but the bus service is too and the fare (Oct 23) from the airport to Puerto del Carmen is 1.40€ and takes 10 mins. Buses will take you to Puerto Calero, Costa Teguise - where the Sunday market is the biggest on the island. If you like cycling, you can hire all types of bikes including electric and there is a dedicated cycle path all along the sea front - we went from Arrecife to Puerto del Carmen old town with no issues - only occasional periods of un-flatness - no real hills.john - 8.0Scored 8.0

The property was clean and in off the beaten track in a quiet area. Amenities at the apartment was sufficient for the visit. Bed was a disappointment and not very comfortable (I spent most nights on the sofa till the cockroach arrived (we probably let the cockroach in)). Small town, with decent services - pharmacy, shops to do groceries. We were eating in different places, however the tapas and pintxos in Tias were one of the best (La Ermita). Very close to the airport, it less than 10 minutes by car. Peaceful place.DominikaPoland

We cook our own meals a lot when on holiday so were very happy with the well equipped kitchen. Furnishings modern, lovely balcony, small pool for cooling off, comfortable bed. 15min walk downhill to the beach, maybe a little longer coming back. This was perfect because we felt we could escape the tourist hustle bustle easily. We were happy to stay in an apartment rather than in a touristy hotel. Great communication from host.

I would advise anyone staying in the villa to rent bikes and you can go to Puerto Del Carmen old town & new within a 20 min beautiful cycle or alternatively, you can head in the other direction and hit Costa Teguise in about the same time.BarryIreland

Beach is just about 100 m away from the apartment, together with a nice restaurant/bar next to it. Apartment itself is nice and spacious, with equipped kitchen and nice patio. Parking is ok, sometimes we had to look for a parking space for a few minutes, but it was ok.DavidCzech Republic
