Old town. No place to repair iPhones.

Old town. No place to repair iPhones. No support agents for Mercedes Benz. It was a nightmare to get spare wheel bolts or original Merc rims. Battled to get 205/55 R16 set of types. Generally frustrating to get service.

There is very little to see or do in Eshowe.

There is very little to see or do in Eshowe. It is lovely driving through the countryside seeing the Zulu homesteads. There is lots of sugarcane and the George Hotel with its old British atmosphere ,but the Nongayi fort was only mildly interesting. The fort did have good prices on African pottery though.

Do visit the Dlinza Forest Aerial Walkway.

Do visit the Dlinza Forest Aerial Walkway. It's worth making the trip, even if it may be a little out of your way. We went there on our way back from Mkuze Falls Game Lodge near Pongola and overnighted in Shakaland. The detour (both Shakaland and the Dlinza Forest) was well worth the extra time and minimal financial extras.

We visited the Fort Nongqayi Museum Village that was really worth our time. I enjoyed to learn about the history of the region and the formation of Zulu tribe and land. My favourite part however was the Vukani Gallery with the contemporary interpretation of traditional culture, our guide was great and very informative. The walk in the Dlinza Forest Aerial Boardwalk was refreshing and fun, amazing indigenous forest!
