Wonderful holiday town. Easy to get around.
Wonderful holiday town. Easy to get around. Lots to do and see in and around Plettenberg Bay. Be careful whe choosing accommodation. Booking.com asked our arrival time at our accommodation booked which we said will be between 16h00 and 17h00. We had the option to pay on arrival. For security we gave our credit card number on booking.com. However...our host put the payment through at 14h00 when we were stil in Knysna. Our host added an additional fee to our booking. Our host had his own reasons for charging the additional fee. We arrived in time. Will not recommend The Green Palm Cottage

Our family's time in Plettenberg Bay was truly unforgettable. The town's central location made exploring the area a breeze, with convenient access to local amenities like grocery stores and the stunning nearby beaches. We were thrilled to discover attractions such as the Knysna Elephant Park and Adventure Land, just a short drive away, adding excitement to our vacation. However, one thing to note is that there are limited halaal food options in the area, which posed a challenge for us. Nonetheless, after our adventures, returning to our cozy retreat provided the perfect opportunity to relax and recharge. The warm hospitality of the locals further enhanced our experience, leaving us with cherished memories of our time in Plettenberg Bay. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a perfect blend of adventure and relaxation on South Africa's beautiful coastline.

The highlight of our visit was our walk on the Robberg Peninsular - stunning scenery, seals and other wildlife (lizards etc). Make sure if you do the walk that you take plenty of water with you, wear proper walking shoes (flip flops just won't cut it) and be aware that in some places there are climbs that are quite challenging.

Excellent hospitality from the staff right from check-in to check-out as they went above and beyond in providing us with a luxurious stay. The on-site restaurant has breathtaking views of the coast and their breakfast was the best during our week-long garden route road trip. Will recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a 5-star stay near Plettenberg Bay with lots of attractions within 15-min driving distance from the hotel.
The setting and the views, the decor was very unique. The room was fantastic , very comfortable, with great views from the bedroom and the bathroom. The hotel hosted a pizza and live music party on Friday night, which was great and is clearly the place to be on Friday night in Plettenberg. The staff were very friendly and on hand at breakfast to give recommendations for things to do in the area.
I loved everything about our stay! From the hospitality of the staff, the food and the ambience of the hotel. The amenities and offerings of the Barrington is what gives this place it's extra oomph too - the nightcap every evening, the complimentary beer tasting 🤩 I wanted a peaceful escape for my birthday and Barrington's did not disappoint.
Lovely boutique hotel with a very nice cafe. Phillipa was very accommodating and made us feel very welcome. Great rooms, beds and furnishings. Stayed 2 nights and would definitely stay there again if I was in Plettenberg Bay.
Very central and close to lots of shops, restaurants and night life.
It is a new hotel in the centre of Plett which is very convenient to be able to walk without searching for parking. The entire hotel consist of card access control for extra security. The skybar with the swimming pool overlooking the beach is the best time spend at the hotel.
Excellent location of this hotel. It is actually on the beach, so great for walks! Very friendly people and service. Nice room and breakfast. Cosy and good restaurant nearby on the beach: The Lookout.
We didn't find Plettenberg worth the visit, better stroll along the beach!
The property was wonderfully situated right on the beach with fabulous views from the rooms. I loved the small private terrace and also the restaurant with river views. the rooms were large and clean and nicely decorated.
The location could not be better - literally on the beach. Ashort flight of steps onto a quiet beach with lots of rocky outcrops for privacy. Also adjoins Enrico's for the nights we didn't feel like braaing.
What is not to like about this hotel. The service, the location, the views, the best employees ever. Everything was impeccable. I wish we could have stayed for more. Thank you for the wonderful memories.
I can't fault anything about you guys. From your friendly and efficient staff to the hotel's food, our apartment, everything was top class. I've recommended it to so many people already. Keep it up.
The hotel is ideally located. Beautiful rooms, lovely restaurant with delicious food. Highly recommended as you get a great accommodation with free parking and proximity to restaurants and shops.
The hotel impresses with a great location right on the beach, a great view and a nice terrace for dinner and breakfast. I would recommend to book the dinner in the accommodation in any case.
