A special place, location wise, captures the atmosphere of Pico very well, being located in a small fishing port. The host seems to be a nice person, there was enough amenities for the price, pretty close to the main shops in the island, given you have a car, a natural pool not too far on foot where you can have a swim. If you're a no fuss couple or a small group of travelers who don't mind sleeping in the same room, consider this property. Oh and there's a super friendly/humble dog chilling on the front deck.

At first Casa da Ilha seemed to be a quiet countryside house with all of the modern amenities. The property itself is very good and the host Rui was excellent plus went out of his way to make us feel welcome. It is across the road from well-known vineyards and a short drive from the windmill and town centre.

The host was extremely friendly and happy to help, and the location was really good, as it was just a couple of minutes drive away from the main city of Madalena. It also had a supermarket and restaurant nearby, as well as local points of interest (Piscinas Naturas da Criação Velha). The entire experience from the first to the last minute was absolutely incredible. The house is beautiful and with a super cosy decor. Not to mention the huge garden that brings us peace and takes us into the middle of nature (you can even relax in a hammock!!). During our stay, we had a 30th anniversary and the accommodation offered us a (huge) cake and sparkling wine. All these treats make a difference and raise our expectations compared to other places. Carolina (Reservation Manager) is lovely, super available and made us "feel at home"
