Good location. It's quiet enough, has a great view to the mountains. Very close to the lake (one can ride a bike to and from easily). Breakfast was just the very basic. There's some room for improvement there. Dinner was great. Very tasty food. The pool and playground are way above average. Kids absolutely loved them. We borrowed bikes from the hotel. They're standard city bikes, but they're pretty new and in good condition.

Upon my arrival I was made feel very Welcome. The Lady at the front desk gave me all the deals about the hotel. Also organized me with a card to utilize with the buses. The card is in conjunction with the local tourist office. Great incentive to get people to visit the region and obviously for local businesses. My room was very clean and had a great view. I was really impressed with the swimming pool. Turns out the swimming pool is brand new! Updated last year. The Sauna and steam Room are amazing! Great area set up to relax after a long day out. The breakfast is great! Lots of different breads, cereals and various cheeses. Great coffee, orange juice and water. I highly recommend visiting the restaurant during the afternoon and for dinner. Great choices on the menu. I also recommend sitting outside in the afternoon for drinks. Hotel Riedl definitely rates five stars and more! I definitely will return to this amazing hotel in the near future. The owners and all the Staff are all very professional and friendly. There was a lot to like at this hotel. We had a nice spacy junior suite. I could not name something special, without mentioning everything. It was a great room. Diner was a buffet, but the food was very good, lots to choose and really wonderful value for money. You get a parking spot in the cellar, quite nice in winter. Great sauna, wellnes, big size fitness and swimming pool. I loved the combined ski-area Winklmoosalm/ Steinplatte for which you drive 15 minutes to Germany.
