You will have a beautiful stay in Marijani, intimate and extremely enjoyable. The staff is amazing. The resort is completely new and clean (they clean the room twice per day). The size is perfect and it's not overcrowded at all. You can completely enjoy your stay with your family or partner. During the day there is the animation staff for the ones who want to do some sports and during dinner, there is typically live music or some artistic show. The staff keeps the beach very clean and safe, hence within the perimeter of the resort the beach looks great and you can fully relax under the umbrellas.

Very nice and accommodating staff! they gave my friend a congratulatory letter as requested and even allowed us to check in early and check out late. Everyday there are activities that is being organized by the staff so guests would have an amazing stay. they also have Good Food, nice spa, and great service! We really had a great stay at Mapenzi Beach Resort. Staff was always very kind, very authentic and open-hearted. Menu was very rich in variety and very delicious. Live barbecue every day, delicious pasta, salads and local food. We had a beach villa first row at the beach, which was beautiful. We made several trips, snorkeling, dolphins, reef tour and safari - which can easily be booked at the hotel (way more expensive) or at the very kind local sales people at the beach, which will arrange whatever you wish. I did a huge amount of research before booking this particular property and we were not disappointed at all. It is NOT like staying in a hotel, it is more like being invited to stay at a family house with friends who have exceptional staff providing for you and them. Maxi and Milia are Italian and their home reflects this, as well as their approach with guests, and we found them to be excellent hosts, who will chat with you and help you any way they can in a way I have never experienced in a 'brand' hotel, ever. One of the reviews I saw suggested that Italian guests were better treated - we are English and were treated wonderfully, by absolutely everyone. Another review said the food service was slow because they were not guests of the property, they are completely missing the point, and the style of Zanzibar. I cannot recommend this property enough. The hosts and staff provide a (much quieter than average) place to stay in Zanzibar where you can do as little as you wish, or as much as you want, because your hosts will gladly organise trips with their drivers and cars like they did for us.

We were welcomed warmly by the owners and services were always rendered with a smile. Loved the food and most of all the beautiful beach which was just a stone throw away.
