The place is haven on earth. If haven is exactly like this, then i would be thrilled lol... The staff, the food, the view, EVERYTHING about the place was PERFECT. The fact that we even went to celebrate Christmas with my partner, it was fantastic. Awesome 7 course Christmas meal.

They have a rainwater system that provides drinking water and the pancake breakfast was fantastic. It is very quite and peaceful, so at night it is relaxing to just gaze over the small town below.

It was a good decision to upgrade as the standard rooms were small, no movement space and had no view at all. The rooms facing the river are extremely spacious and equipped with everything you need. The bathrooms was spacious too. The view at night over the lake is beautiful. The breakfast was great. The staff at the breakfast tables was very friendly, helpful and accommodating.

The staff were great, the room was spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable and it was quiet. No loadshedding problems, ample car parking, good WiFi. The food in the Thistle Restaurant was excellent and breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. The onsite pub was well stocked and the food menu looked extensive. Very good value for money.

The host and the whole staff was very welcoming and friendly. There was a good breakfast and the outdoor area is very diverse. The villa is well located and an absolute to go to when staying in Port Alfred. I had two very peaceful and relaxing days and would book it again.
