And with an owner who cares. We enjoyed the large four-person room very much, the two double beds are in separate spaces so that's nice. The breakfast is very complete, can be taken on the terrace or in the large patio inside. From the outside it looks very unassuming, but the conversion has been done well, with some quirky details, a large fitness room, a games room and a library that make you want to stay for a few days instead of just passing by.

Very nice pool and garden where you can relax. Only ten minute drive to St Emilion which is beautiful but busy so it’s nice to go back to the quiet village of Montagne. Staff very nice and friendly. There are two hotel restaurants- one is Michelin- and a very nice other restaurant 3 mins walk away.

Skiing is possible within the area and Bains de Secours, Chambres d'hotes offers ski storage space. Jacques and his family/team did everything possible to insure our happiness, comfort and satisfaction. Super friendly. The downstairs area was cozy with a fireplace and lovely tables for snacks and breakfast, which was healthful and delicious . The steam, bath and massage activities were delightful. We will definitely return to this unique and rustic spot.
