Originally opened in 1889, the world-famous Savoy Hotel is situated on the banks of the Thames and less than 5 minutes' walk from The British Museum and The Royal Opera House. The hotel was once visited by the likes of Sir Winston Churchill, Frank Sinatra and Katherine Hepburn. The location is excellent for Central London. The staff were the stars - literally nothing was too much trouble for them, and they were always checking that all was exactly as we wanted it. The rooms were lovely, and the beds sooo comfortable. Christmas lunch was understandably expensive, being 7 courses in a top restaurant, but for the most part was really lovely, A booking at the American Bar for Christmas Eve with a group of family and friends was an outstanding addition to the stay.

I love all the dining areas and the beautiful Christmas tree in the dining area. It had so much charm.

Was able to think with me what would be a great room for me and was able to check-in early. That was an unexpected plus!

The luxury spa includes 8 treatment rooms and a sauna. There is also a fully equipped fitness centre. The Hotel was so clean and comfortable and beautifully decorated for Christmas. The rooms were spacious ,beds great. Lovely bathrooms too. Our family all enjoyed it , especially the spa. We were celebrating a birthday and it was the perfect place to do that.
