Each morning, the hotel offers a hearty breakfast. A range of cold platters and snacks are available to order, and the property can recommend and book local restaurants for an evening meal. You can also relax on site in a cosy lounge with a log fire, while the residents bar offers an extensive wine and drinks menu. Great room, fabulous patio and garden and wonderful staff. Breakfast was delicious and cooked to order. This hotel has a home from home feel. Cream teas every afternoon, tea and coffee whenever you want and a small bar if you want alcohol. Guests are allocated their own parking space which is wonderful in this prime location. Next time we are in the Lake District, we will definitely book this delightful hotel. Thanks to all the staff that work in this establishment, we had a fabulous week.

The hotel has some of the best on-site facilities in the area, half of the rooms with hot tubs on private balconies, an on-site spa with poolside seating and a bar, stylish restaurant and cocktail bar, bike hire, wakesurfing and paddleboading. We had our own private hot tub. It was wonderful. Location was very good. They have a spa at which we had a couples massage.

The cabin was beautiful. The extra touches like wine and a decorated Christmas tree made our stay extra special

Located in the heart of the Lake District and just 5 minutes' drive from Ambleside, Foxghyll Country House offers free WiFi access and free on-site parking. Set within 3 acres of private gardens, this large country house dates back to the 1600s and has direct access to Loughrigg Fell.

The 5-star Beaumont House is a Victorian property featuring many original features with a tranquil location, just metres from the heart of Windermere. It offers delicious cooked breakfasts, free Wi-Fi and free private parking, less than 10 minutes' walk away from Windermere Railway Station. Simone was very nice and gave useful facts especially nice restaurants to visit.

This provides free access to a swimming pool, gym, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and fitness classes for all guests during their stay, including on check out day. The breakfast was excellent lots of gluten free options. Rich the host was very friendly and knowledgeable about the Lake District . He always had time for you to chat about the best restaurants etc .Very enjoyable stay definitely stay again. Rooms very comfortable clean . The place is situated in a perfect spot right in the middle of Windermere.
