The lodge offers standard rooms in chalets with patio, shower and satellite TV. The more spacious suites have a seating area. The property is beautiful. The staff was the best that we've ever experienced - the most personalised service that we've received at a hotel / resort. We had booked an experience with their private game reserve drive. Singazi, the chef, went out of his way to arrange Halal meat for us for the delicious "bush dinner" at the end of the Drive. We got to see Giraffes, Lions, Springbucks, Wildebeests, etc. Breakfast was amazing too, with Singazi as the chef! Other staff members including Shireen, Brighton and Luke were very helpful. We checked-in very late at 8.30pm, and Shireen made the checking-in process super smooth and even arranged snacks/dinner for us within minutes of our arrival. The room was fantastic, very modern, and far better than what you would expect in a place like this surrounded by nature. Beds were comfy.

The spa offers a variety of massages and beauty treatments. Other facilities at River Bend Lodge include a shared lounge, a library, 3 outdoor pools with sun loungers, a games room and a kids' club. The grounds were really beautiful with cottages surrounding artfully landscaped grounds that were filled with birdsong. The chef was truly excellent and we enjoyed our breakfasts and dinners. Our park ranger, Paul MacKenzie, was outstanding. He knew the wildlife really well and had many tales from his interesting life. Rafa, one of the elephants blessed us with his presence at the gate on the day of our game drive and were fortunate to spend a lot of time with one of the lions. The Park concession was very good because it gave us long views. In contrast, during our solo drive from the bottom of Addo to the top, there was large bush obscuring views. I found the staff at River Bend to be really friendly and enjoyed my many conversations with them, particularly time spent talking to Jenna. I also enjoyed talking to Gladys, who worked in the kitchen. She and I share an interest in sewing with Shweshwe. We highly recommend River Bend. It is truly a 5 star experience.

Kuzuko Lodge consist of 24 chalet of which 3 are fully wheelchair accessible. All facilities including the pool, spa, gym, conference room, restaurant, family lounge, curio shop and bar are accessible by wheelchair. The staff and the view and setting. Also the food was great! Very comfortable!

Both WiFi and private parking are accessible at the lodge free of charge. The elephants came to drink during breakfast. The bush walk and game drive was also amazing.

Breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks are served at various indoor and outdoor dining areas. There is a fire pit where guests can enjoy a nightcap after dinner.

Guests may either book a Bed and Breakfast package or our Full Board Package which includes all meals and 1 outdoor activity per day (night stayed) on the reserve in an open game viewing vehicle, accompanied by a qualified game ranger. Outdoor activities include, game drives, giraffe walks, bush walks, bird watching and star gazing experiences. Tea and coffee are available throughout the day and sundowner drinks are offered at sunset. I loved it to stay in a "tent", an absolute unique shower and a terrasse/balkony with an excellent view. The meal in the evening was great. We've had a nice evening.
