Prague 2
1 miles from city centre
Prague 02 mixes old and new. For a taste, just follow its riverside promenade from the eccentrically curvy Dancing House to the ancient Vyšehrad fort. Away from the traffic and hubbub of Sokolská and Legerova, Náměstí Míru square is a calm retreat under the watch of the Vinohrady Theatre and Church of St Ludmila.

A city break in Prague offers historical insights, varied architectural styles and a hearty cuisine, making it suitable for a year-round escape.
The Czech capital, nicknamed The City of a Hundred Spires, is home to an array of Gothic and medieval architecture. There’s the Old Town Square, which features the world-famous Astronomical Tower and the Church of Our Lady before Týn. The city also boasts the iconic Charles Bridge and its alleys of statues. Prague Castle, a sprawling complex built in the ninth century, also calls the capital home. You’ll be surprised with just how often you’ll come face to face with intricately-designed bridges and buildings in Prague.
Prague is chock-full of landmarks, many boasting panoramic scenes of the city. To the southwest of the castle complex, you can ascend Petrin Hill on foot or by funicular train to reach Petrin Tower for picturesque views over the city. You can also dine inside the Dancing House, check out the Lennon Wall graffiti or cruise down the Vltava River.
There are a number of local restaurants and bars across Prague’s districts. You can find them serving up traditional dishes like goulash – a stew of spiced meat and vegetables – and dumplings. For dessert, expect sweet treats such as Trdelník chimney cake and palačinky pancakes. You can wash these down with Czech beer in the warmer months or mulled wine and hot chocolate when it’s chilly.
Václav Havel Airport is located west of the city, about 40 kilometres from Prague’s city centre.

Prague is a beautiful city, with so much to see, I recommend around 4 days for it. Lots of nature, great public transport, delicious food. I'd suggest to avoid visiting it during any holidays and weekends because it gets extremely crowded. My favourite places were the Jewish Quarter and Naplavka - riverside with lots of bars on boats.
Prague is a wonderful city and for sure we will get back.

Prague is a wonderful city and for sure we will get back. This time was a very short trip, but next time we hope that we will have the possibility to stay more days. We recommend the castle area, not only during the day, but also in the evening. It is so quiet and the streets are so nice. Walk on the streets. In all corners you will find nice locations. Thnak you Prague! We will come back!

Prague is a beautiful city, perhaps one of the most beautiful in Europe. But what is special about Prague is its spirit, which makes you feel different, special, than in other tourist cities. Numerous pubs, tourist destinations, a touch of history and architecture, then the smell of the chimney of cakes and knolice, but also a large number of young tourists who have fun, laugh loudly and enjoy Prague and their youth, this is what makes Prague special.
Prague is a beautiful and a must-visit city.

Prague is a beautiful and a must-visit city. Rich in historical attractions such as Prague Castle and Charles Bridges. Prague Old Town Down is picturesque with its cobbled side street and the famous Old Town Square.
Prague is a gorgeous city!

Prague is a gorgeous city! With beautiful and majestic buidings, a lot of cafes, dense with culture and history. It's very lively, but not chaotic, clean and transportation is very well organized. Price-wise it is also very affordable and the food is amazing!

a very interesting tourist attraction to visit on a long weekend. I liked Charles Bridge and Prague Castle. Unfortunately, there were a lot of people in each of these places. I strongly recommend the restaurant "U Glaubiců" where you can eat delicious regional Czech dishes.
