London's inherent uniqueness and mix of cultures have made it one of the most visited cities in the world. Its diverse bundle of boroughs are often like mini cities in their own right, with each one offering something different to the last.
London's iconic skyline is an eclectic combination of instantly recognisable landmarks, from the historic Tower of London to the ultra-modern skyscrapers of The Shard and 20 Fenchurch (better known as 'The Walkie-Talkie'). A walk through the ‘Square Mile’ immerses you in the original Roman settlement, with parts of the ancient defensive wall still visible. You'll also find some of the London's cosiest (and oldest) pubs around there, such as Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese, a former haunt of Charles Dickens and Mark Twain.
For lovers of the arts, look no further than the world-class theatres of London's West End and the live music venues of Camden, Soho and Shoreditch. You'll also find endless galleries and museums dotted around, such as the free-to-visit British Museum, Natural History Museum and the National Gallery.
Amongst all the impressive architecture and endless points of interest, it's easy to forget how green London is. 47% of the city is made up of public green space, including 3,000 parks. The most popular spots include Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens and Green Park, but it's worth venturing out to places like Richmond where you can walk amongst roaming wild deer.
London is served by several major airports, including Heathrow, Gatwick, City, Stansted, Luton and Southend. Travel is made easy by the extensive public transport links, as well as private coach services.

London is an iconic city with something for everyone.
17 April 2024
London is an iconic city with something for everyone. Familiarise with the tube (subway) system. The bues are also very comprehensive but can be confusing. It can also take a long time depending on traffic. Taxis are excellent of course, but at a price. Vast range of eating establishments at the full range of prices. Many pubs which are excellent. Visit Camden Market, but not at a weekend if you want to avoid crowds! For a great sightseeing familiarisation tour take one of the open top buses. Hop on hop off. If you are theatre bound there are a number of opportunties to get cut price tickets from Leicester Square booths. Museums are generally free and there are no better anywhere.

i travel to London a lot and all over the uk with work including Ireland and all over Scotland and Wales when i am with my partner we like to stay for a few days normally around the Chingford area as she likes the Krays and we often visit the graves and commute in and around London and are planning another visit but not with work, Madam Tussauds is fantastic and well worth the money we are also planning the Gangster tour some time and have already been in the carpenters arms and the blind beggar pubs. The only thing that spoils it for London is the congestion Charging zones and the low emission zones but these are now all over the uk and to be honest is just another tax and it has also been said that since it was introduced the air quility in London is no better.. I must admit that is cheap on the buses and there is plenty of them.
Never tire of London.
17 April 2024
Never tire of London. Stay as long as you can & have an itinerary to maximise your time there. Try & stay fairly central so you can use the tube & bus network to get around quickly & easily.

LONDON is an amazing city with excellent transport; lots of great places to eat; excellent shopping; lots of places to visit - some free/some very expensive. Highlight of our trip was boat trip from Westminster to Greenwich - great view of London with very informative and funny commentary .

London is always a place to visit, many things to do, to shop, to see and to share. Always crowded be aware specially in the tube. Don't forget to visit the open markets. Entertainment is the best with as many theaters as you can wish. Culture and history are free in the National Gallery and Briths museum and are for free. Don't forget to book you entry before you arrive. From Heathrow is easy to get the center of the city with the rapid train if boy are in a hush or using de victoria line

It was a new residence style hotel, and you will not be bothered on all the complicated procedures you may need to follow if there was a reception. The only thing I could suggest is to get more information for the travellers, beforehand when booking, as well as a portal site you can see in the room as to the details on how you may fulfil your needs such as nearby bus or train services (working hours or disruptions), nearby places for breakfast, lunch or dinner, shopping. Particularly this time, I expected to keep my heavy luggage in the premises, and only able to clarify when I called the give telephone number, but there could be some QAs in the portal site.
