About Boracay

Including tips for the best time to visit Boracay

Cocooned in the heart of the Philippines, Boracay is a famous resort town dotted with bars and restaurants. The blue waters, green trees and white sand make Boracay a picture-perfect island.

The bone-shaped island of Boracay is a fine spot if you enjoy the warmth of the sun and the salty breeze of the sea. White Beach, peppered with restaurants, bars and shopping areas, is the most famous beach of this island. From this beach, you'll get to see Willy's Rock, a gigantic volcanic rock with people climbing over it. If you wish to experience kite surfing, then Bulabog Beach is a great choice. Halt at the handicraft stores along this beach for souvenirs like paintings and refrigerator magnets. For a chance to relax away from crowds, head to Puka Shell beach, a comparatively quiet spot. At this place, you can choose a sunbed overlooking the emerald-blue waters, or go for a rejuvenating swim.

While there are no direct routes to Boracay, you can stop at Manila airport, from where you can take a domestic flight to smaller airports near the island. A boat ride from these local airports will take you straight to the island. Another way is via sea. For that, you’ll need to take a bus from Manila airport to the Batangas Port. After a ferry ride to Calapan, you'll need to take another bus to Roxas Port. From this location, you'll get a ferry to Boracay island.

It was ones the paradise!

2 May 2024

It was ones the paradise! Now its too crowded! But the beach is still nice! And is much cleaner than bevor! Also the organisation of the whole masses of tourists is quite well organised! Even the activities you can book! All in all still worth to go!

It sounds like such a cliche but if you are looking for white sand, swaying palms, crystal clear water and a laid back vibe, this is 100% for you. Travelled Asia for 6 months, Boracay is in my top 3 destinations. We stayed in station 2, station 1 being the busiest and 3 the quietest. Take a sunset tour, go diving or snorkelling, chill out in the bars and restaurants. One word of advice, only eat seafood in places where it’s kept covered. We saw lots of places with raw seafood in full sun with flies landing on it for hours so do be careful.

Boracay is a great place to visit with a zillion things to do apart from nothing. From stations obecto three there's lots of places to stop and eat and of course a cold beer is always available One should go there to just experience the island as the well laid out organized transport from and to the airport,

Boracay is a world class beach.

20 April 2024

Boracay is a world class beach. No exaggeration. Beautiful white sand and crystal clear water. All kinds of activities. Family friendly and lots for adults also. My advice is if you want quiet at night stay at station 2 and take a trike to station 1 to party. Do a boat tour, snorkeling all kinds of activities are available. My favorite activities were enjoying the water and sitting on the beach in the shade watching the ocean and people. Don’t expect all the amenities in your hotel you might be used to except in the highest end hotels but you’re not exactly camping either.

FYI:

18 April 2024

FYI: On the Eastern side of the island (for example the closest beach to the hotel, Bulabog) locals are throwing their rubbish into the water and the winds are blowing all the garbage on the beach and streets

Every beach station in Boracay offers different vibe to the tourists. If you prefer a laid back, less crowded and very efficient service in restos and bars go to Station 1 or 3. But if you like to party and crowds, Station 2 is for you.
