We loved our two-night stay at Il Convento. Lots of room for our family of five, many traditional Italian design features. Beautiful views from many of the windows, as the property is well up in the hills. Showers and beds were great. Our host, Klod, was very personable and helpful; on departure, he drove us and our nine pieces of luggage down to the boat dock (two round trips). On our arrival, Klod was otherwise occupied, so we pulled those nine pieces up a long series of charming, steep, cobblestone streets. Challenging, but that's part of the adventure of travel, isn't it? We did a lot more walking up and down the hills of Bellagio, which was a breeze without the luggage and endlessly beautiful. We would happily return there and to Il Convento in the future.

The house it’s absolutely perfect, equipped with everything you could possibly need, in an ideal location for discovering Bellagio, yet in a peaceful & quiet area. It’s immaculately clean, with brand new appliances, the beds are very comfortable. Not to mention the views are breathtaking from the whole house. Excellent private parking with EV charging. An easy walk to everything in the town and plenty of walking areas outside of the town. Also ferries going all the time to other villages along the lake. Luca met us there when we arrived and could not have been a more gracious host. He had maps, showed us how everything in the house worked, and had even stocked the fridge with fresh fruit, water and a bottle of sparkling wine. The house is immaculate, and as a bonus there is a Nespresso machine. We were able to make our own coffee in the morning and enjoy it while sitting outside among the beautiful olive trees!
