beautiful street and location, from the street we had a great view of the Yasaka pagoda. They provided us umbrellas to use during our stay and were able to hold our luggage before check in and after check out as well. From our location we were a short <3 m walk away to multiple convenience stores and main road to catch taxis from.

This is the best accommodation in Kyoto!! The house is really spacious and has great facilities (air-con, microwave, washer/dryer etc.) and its own little garden. The location is also perfect, close to subway and bus stops and a short walk to the Nishiki market. The host is super friendly and helpful and checked to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. He also gave us a helpful map and tips about things nearby when we checked in. 10/10 would highly recommend - be sure to stay here when you visit Kyoto!

This was exceptional accommodation and a wonderful stay. We were met by the manager who gave us detailed information about the property; in addition there were clear written instructions regarding the various appliances. Of particular interest to us were the washing machine/dryer, the water heater and the room heater controllers. Each worked beautifully and with the space, 2 bathrooms and underfloor heating throughout, we had every facility we could have wanted. The home is furnished beautifully and the beds and bedding were first class. The daily service provided at Ben Ten is also wonderful - every day the bathrooms were cleaned, our towels were replaced and rubbish was removed. In addition, the location of the property is amazing - in the heart of old Kyoto/ Higashiyama and just a few blocks from Gion; a 2 minute walk to a great bus route; and within 5 minutes walk of 3 convenience stores and a supermarket!!! To end our stay, the manager arranged for a taxi for us and came to help us with instructions to the taxi driver. This is impressive accommodation with great service and we unreservedly recommend it.

The rooms were clean and tidy, the hostel itself felt like a retreat located outside of the main area of Kyoto, which was a lovely experience, just be prepared for the travel back into the central part of the city. Which is so easy because it’s located by a bus stop! Staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast is an extra ¥800 was lovely such a great variety of food and filling. Room gives you a locker which is great, drying racks and curtain on bed for privacy.

The staff has been super helpful (thank you again Tada), the village is in a calm street away from noise but still close to the subway, the room was amazing all wooden and traditional, the private wooden onsen outside was gorgeous, and the list goes on… Highly recommended!

I stayed from Monday to Thursday and paid an exceptionally good rate for such a luxurious suite. The downstairs bathroom has one indoor and one outdoor private bathtub. The property manager came to provide an overview of the home, taught us how to make macha tea, and made sure we understood how to use the facilities in great English. She also made reservations for us for dinner and for getting cabs to take us to the train station the next morning.
