Our stay was great. The cabin is located in a quiet part of the island on the edge of a beautiful bay that you can swim, snorkel and kayak in. Johnny was also a great host and was very accommodating, driving us to get dinner each night and also bringing us to the market on the way from the airport. Johnny's mum was also lovely.

What a beautiful Gem. Private and very close to town and superette. Jean is an extremely kind and helpful host. His english is perfect, nothing was too hard. The house catered very very well for my family of 8 (including a baby). Plenty of space, huge lounge, kitchen and bedrooms. Spent every day in the water swimming and snorkeling. I would strongly recommend you stay at Hokulea. Thank you Jean

Sophie (Sof) and Patrice’s (Pat) aka Sofpat fare was more than we could have hoped for. It looked in real life just the same as the pictures in their advert. It was clean, well equiped with everything we required. The fare was private, it was easy to access. The location to town was perfect. To be fortunate enough to have access to a great pool really worked for us and to have our own car to use the whole time we were there was the icing on the cake. As much as everything I have written was superb I really would like to write also that over and above how the fare was and equiped it was the engagement, the hosting, the caring from Sophie, Patrice, Agnes, Mahealani, and Hinenui that my wife and I will most remember. Right from our arrival at the airport and to be greeted by Mahealani and Hinenui these two strong and beautiful Mao’hi women who picked us up, then to meet the matriarch of their family Mama Agnes who brought us a freshly prepared breakfast each morning that was more than my wife and I could eat. We were lucky to meet Sophie and Patrice the day before we left Raiatea and although our time with them was brief, both were the utmost of hosts to us. My wife and I have already decided to return in June 2026 (at the latest) and we’ll only be staying with Sophie, Patrice and their extended family. We’ll start french language lessons as soon as we arrive back to Aotearoa (New Zealand).

Really nice little bungalow, had everything you need to make food. The Wifi was fast and reliable, the bathroom was clean and comfortable. The bed was comfortable making it easy to be well rested for you to explore the island. There is a fan in the room which helped keep cool in the Tahitian heat. The hosts are really friendly and accommodating.

He booked restaurant Villa Ixora for dinner (highly recommended), booked boat trip, car and all we wished. There are kayaks a bicycles available for free. Definitely recommended to paddle on the kayaks to the close motu where there was a beautiful beach. The owner has two nice big dogs who are running around and are very friendly also to the guests. The room was nice, although I hadn't realized when booking that it was accessed via a ladder and had a shared bathroom that was downstairs. In either case though, this was the perfect place for us to stay for 1 night before taking off on a sailboat for a week, and I would recommend Villa U'upa to a friend coming to Raiatea.ChelseaGroup
