Staff were very friendly and very helpful. Due to an unexpected turn in the weather, we were advised that our return ferry to Funchal, the following day, was cancelled. So we made the decision to leave that day and so in fact, did not stay in the hotel overnight. Our impressions were, that it was very good value for money. Although they show some signs of age, they are perfectly fine if you are not too fussy. The beach is very good and only a 3-5 minute walk away, and there are also small markets, restaurants, and pastry shops nearby. The only downside is that the wifi signal is quite weak and only works on the balcony and in one room. However, the staff kindly stored our luggage after checkout and we were able to enjoy the swimming pool for a bit longer.

Of course it would have been easier with car, but we decided to rent an e-bike - next time we’ll definitely rent a car that I also recommend to everyone who does not just want to lay on the beach all the time. We also enjoyed that we could spot the landing flights as they exactly fly over the apartment. Not a luxurious apartment, but we had a good time for 3 nights.
