The building is a beautiful 700 year old house. The rooms are clean, spacious and tastefully decorated. The staff are very kind and helpful. You will really enjoy the breakfast. There are stairs to climb to the rooms. Do not expect luxury but you will enjoy the experience.

The area is full of locals who are so friendly and spoke enough English for us to get groceries easily and find our we around. We took the bus or a shared cab to Sousse for 1DT when we wanted, it was easy, nice to visit and then even nicer to leave the touristy area to return to the practically private peaceful beach of Chatt Mariam. Highly recommend !
