We could feel the care in every detail in the apartment, the place was equipped literally with everything to make the guests' stay as comfortable as possible. There was an electricity issue in the area (caused by a storm, it was not the host's fault), so when we arrived, we had to wait 1 hour because the electrician guy was still doing the fixing. It was not a huge problem, but the host immediately offered to compensate us and we also received some gifts. This story also demonstrates how caring the host is.

Holiday House Rastoke Pod Lipom is a holiday home set in Slunj, 27 km from Plitvička Jezera. The property is situated next to a waterfall and boasts views of the rivers Korana and Slunjčica. Free WiFi is offered throughout the property. Easy to find. Property provided parking pass. Property was clean and the beds were comfortable. Rastoke is such a cute village and we felt privileged to stay there. The house over the waterfall is so unique and quaint. The mother-in-law made us pancakes with jelly and they were delicious. It was a very kind gesture. I love how the locals do everything they can to keep the area preserved.

We were met on arrival by a lovely host who showed us around the place, gave us details on how to use everything and how to fuel the fire, the wifi codes, she even gave us a tour of the local national park via a map. The place was spotless, with a well stocked kitchen and great wifi. The hot tub had been warmed up for us and there was plenty of supplies for the evening. The beds were comfortable and the place is spacious and in an amazing location. The location is also a less than 10 minutes from a supermarket, a series of restaurants and the lakes.

Dragana was a lovely host who welcomed us upon our arrival and showed us the cabin and how to use all the relevant amenities - We even received home-made sandwiches that Dragana had made which was so lovely :) The location was awesome - Close to Plitvice Lakes which was the main purpose of our stay. Highly recommend!!
