I stayed here with my husband and my mother between December 21st and 28th and had an amazing time. The apartment is huge, kitchen is very well equipped with everything you may need. The living room is great with large smart tv. There are 3 rooms and the beds are very comfortable. One room has adjacent bathroom and there is also another bathroom that is entered from the living room. There were enough towels, soap, toilet paper and the owner sent us a message after a couple of days asking if we needed any more. The location was perfect, it took us only 5 minutes by car to CR7 parking garage in the city center. There is also a big supermarket and a takeaway restaurant just 2 minutes away by car. There are several parking spaces next to the house. The first night none were available so we parked across the street, but every other night at least one spot was available. The apartment is also very quiet. You can hear cars from the street, but there isn't that much traffic. They also have such a lovely dog. He is behind a fence so no worries if you are scared of dogs. He would never bark but would always come to greet us waving his tail when we would arrive back to the apartment which really made our day. The owner was very kind and polite. He does not speak English, but using Booking's translate option our communication worked great. I can't recommend this place enough. If we come back, we will certainly stay here again.

The house is located in a small back alley with lots of friendly neighbours and a lively welcoming atmosphere. The house itself is just beautiful and there's absolutely nothing missing, there's so much love in every detail and you can really feel like home. We spent our Christmas there and were overwhelmed by all the small treats (fruits, fantastic homemade cookies and lots more) and decoration. The sleeping room has an electric heater in case it gets really cold, the kitchen is fully (like home) equipped and you can even do your laundry. There's public free parking very close by and you can easily walk everywhere in Machico (shopping, cafes, restaurants). We enjoyed sitting in the backyard which is very calm and full of life at the same time. Whenever we met Luisa, she was up for a chat and took so much care of us - she is a star! We would definitely choose again and can recommend to everyone who likes staying in a lively neighbourhood (quiet at night) in a traditional house.

Would highly recommend!!!
