Great location in the center, but still quiet. We loved the spa. The room with 2 twin beds was spacious and clean. The staff was very helpfull and resolved an issue for us very adequately. There are many small restaurants close by and the Hirome market is also 5-10 minutes by foot. We stayed during the week and had no issues to park at the nearby OK parking lot.

    Tasty hastu-gatsuo and beautiful botanical garden! Makino botanical garden is within 15 minutes by car from the central Kochi. It has its own beauty even in winter, but the beauty comes in the other seasons. Hirome Market is also one of the must-go spots. The staff is friendly and the sashimi there is absolutely tasty -turist-price, though.

    the tourist train from Kochi is higly recommended, it is better to self driving for visiting Kochi as we found that the schedule of bus travelling around is limited and not too frequet , it would be great if there is more bike rental shop as we visited a little area Tosa and we found that there was no rental shop for bicycles , so disappointed.

    Probably very frequently overlooked city in Shikoku, it was definitely worth a visit. Firstly, the city center is very walkable, of course, the main highlight of the city is the castle. It is one of the smaller castles in the country, but the surrounding grounds are open to public 24 hours a day, which, of course, gave me an option to visit it during a nice early morning weather, without the crowds and everything connected with them. There are other places I wanted to see, but the Kochi Prefectural Makino Botanical Garden was definitely one of the spots I could not miss. Really a beautiful place, which would be even more nice if the sakura blossom forecast was a bit more accurate. I missed a visit of Shikoku Automobile museum, but there are only some things a man can do in one full day of visit. Next time.

    Kochi is a fantastic city, and the only problem I have is...

    Kochi is a fantastic city, and the only problem I have is the difficulty in getting there. But once you arrive, it's a wonderful small city. Kochi boasts a wonderful castle where you can get a great tour of the history of the Kochi area. On the east side of the city there is a really nice botanical garden inspired by one of Japan's most famous botanists. And the Katsuharama Beach just to the south of the garden is a wonderful location for a stroll, and it has an especially nice sunset. And after a long day, there is no place better for dinner than the Hirome Market. At this market, the entire city comes together for the local seafood of Kochi. If you want to try the local specialty of seared bonito while chatting with the locals, this is the place to do so. Unfortunately, I didn't have the time to explore anything further away from the city but I would love to come back to explore the rest of Kochi prefecture.

    Nice place, its easy to walk around and discover it Transportation takes you everywhere Super clean with a lot place to discover I suggest to take the bus S3 and go spend the sunset in Katsurahama, its just 20 minutes but its a wonderful peaceful place

    You can visit all the places that are recommended to you in a day but that is only the start. Go to the Information Centre outside the train station. They offer free bicycle hire. They were the most helpful people ever.

    This hotel was in a fantastic location for the Kochi Marathon. it is also easy walking distance to shops, restaurants and Kochi castle. The rooms are TINY! Coming from Australia it was a bit of an adjustment, only one of us could open our suitcase at a time. They were very clean and comfortable and had private bathrooms. The breakfast area was really nice, like being in a coffee shop, and the staff were very helpful. they even opened for breakfast a little early for me on race day - thank you!

    - the location is very good, close to all transport hubs - walkable distance to several sightseeing spots, the airport bus actually stops nearby, too - very pleasant staff - thanks to JAL and their delayed flight I missed the checkin deadline time, but I was still allowed to do so - once again, price/value ratio is great, everything was clean and well-maintained - several convenience stores are closeby, in case you arrive too late, to get a snack and drinks

    I often stay at this hotel when I visit Kochi City. I stay here because of the location and comfort. This stay however was not as great as usual. There were guests a few rooms down who were very loud late into the night. I called down to the service desk to ask for assistance, and they were quick to solve the problem. This is still the hotel I will choose every time I come to the city.

    The location was further from Kochi centre than I had appreciated but easily accessible for the Airport bus (Hoe-chi stop) - 5-10 minutes walk. The breakfast was Japanese specialities at their best which suited me but be warned there is not a continental alternative. The Breakfast Room is open in the evening for all, coffee on tap.

    It feels more like a home than a hotel. We’re on a road trip around Japan and stayed at 5 hotels already. This is our favorite stay. Check-in instructions were easy and we got the location to use on goggle maps: No problem to find it. Easy communication with English speaking host. Best recommendations!

    About 1km from Kochi JR station, the only way to the hostel is walking. Staff is good but available before 8pm only. Room is clean & comfy but Wifi is not good, it's connented but no internet. Male shower room is on the 2nd Fl but male dorm is on the 3rd Fl. Anyway, it's a good place to stay.

    I love this hotel because it is a bit far from all the touristy part. Very close to a supermarket. The 2nd floor is so great: a space to chill, to eat, to read, to look for friendliness. The staff was very kind and helpful
