With just the two tents it's a small, perfectly formed operation run by the wonderful host Nero, who not only looks after your every need but whips up amazing meals in his little camp kitchen, served on a table under the stars, with a bonfire to complete the magic.

You really feel like you’re living in the wild. If you’re not a nature loving person then this resort may not be for you. Our kids love that there were resident dogs and cats on the property. But what was more Intriguing was the fact there are crocodiles just less than 20m away from the pool. It’s as close to the wild as you can get. Love the rooms! The staff is amazing and will go above and beyond to make your holiday dreams come true. Thank you to Saman for creating a romantic private bbq out on the lake for our family where we got to dine with the crocs right next to us! Crazy to think we could do that but the staff made sure we were safe.

staying here exceeded all our expectations! The chalet is amazing and the staff does everything they can to make your stay unforgettable. The host knew a lot about nature and the animals that live in the area. We had a bush walk, a cup of tea with the sunset. An adventurous ride in the dark to the beach, a campfire with a beer and a delicious dinner. Recommended !

Uga chena huts were like a heaven on earth. Amazing scenery, amazing ambience , amazing eco friendly architecture , amazing team to take care of you and pamper you with attention and great food presented in Michelin star way. The hotel in the midst of national forest with private jacuzzi pool overlooking the forest was a treat. The care provided by staff was heart touching . Every small details were taken care of making the stay really memorable

We visited Yala for two days (with two separate game drives...
We visited Yala for two days (with two separate game drives - one evening and one morning one) and although we enjoyed the animals we observed, we did not have any sightings of leopards despite being the national park with the highest concentration in the world. But that is nature so we were just unlucky on those days. However, the most disappointing aspect of Yala was the sheer number of vehicles allowed into the park at one time. As soon as elephants or leopards are sighted, drivers communicate among themselves and vehicles all rush to the scene creating a massive traffic jams. This makes it feel very mass market and doesn’t seem very respectful of the wildlife

Terrible time. No wild animals as expected. Roads are all around the jungle which is pretty disturbing to the wild life. After all it is supposed to be a protected zone for wild life. Jeeps are crawling every corner of the territory. Amused to see all of that disturbing scenes in a wild life protected zone. It's like business zone. Poor animals.AAnonymousThailand - 10Scored 10
I loved Yala.
I loved Yala. The number of different animals seen was slightly disappointing but apparently wash outs due to rain prevented us from accessing some internal roads. The national park in Yala is beautiful however it is hard to drive around as the roads are poorly maintained. There is a large populatin of birds and i think this safari would suit bird watchers more than those who want to see the elephants. The 6am -6pm safari is too long. Sigiriya is far superior when it comes to large herds of elephants.

The hike in the nature reserve was amazing, we saw lots of amazing animals and landscapes. Were lucky and we were able to meet the tiger as well. It is important to note that the trip should take drinks and food, the hotel staff where we were did not tell us the length of the trip and did not make sure to let us know that we should take care of ourselves. Of course we were smarter and brought with us the necessary equipment .. But there were those next to us who did not and that was unfortunate

We stayed at Laya Beach resort which was very beautiful and was very close to our safari's which made our stay even better. The beach, however, was too rough to swim which was a little disappointing.

Dinner is a choice of a la carte or buffet - the buffet food was excellent, very high quality and plenty of choice. You could really see that the hotel was newly built, everything in the room was perfect and designed to perfection and the rooms are very spacious. However what made this one of the most memorable experience for us is the amazing and ever smiling staff right from the reception, kitchen, and room service staff. Their executive chef was always there smiling and greeting the guests which made this super special!
