Fantastic little campsite in the middle of the Sri Lankan bush, only accessible by 4WD. Head in here and feel the serenity. With just the two tents it's a small, perfectly formed operation run by the wonderful host Nero, who not only looks after your every need but whips up amazing meals in his little camp kitchen, served on a table under the stars, with a bonfire to complete the magic.

Rooms were outstanding - spacious and felt like a home away from home. Beautiful pool. Staff delightful and went out of their way to help. The hotel organised two safaris for us. Food and drinks also extremely tasty.

You really feel like you’re living in the wild. If you’re not a nature loving person then this resort may not be for you. Our kids love that there were resident dogs and cats on the property. But what was more Intriguing was the fact there are crocodiles just less than 20m away from the pool. It’s as close to the wild as you can get. Love the rooms! The staff is amazing and will go above and beyond to make your holiday dreams come true. Thank you to Saman for creating a romantic private bbq out on the lake for our family where we got to dine with the crocs right next to us! Crazy to think we could do that but the staff made sure we were safe.
Yakaduru Yala is located on the buffer Zone of Yala National Park. It's just 5 minutes away from the Yala National Park Entrance.

staying here exceeded all our expectations! The chalet is amazing and the staff does everything they can to make your stay unforgettable. The host knew a lot about nature and the animals that live in the area. We had a bush walk, a cup of tea with the sunset. An adventurous ride in the dark to the beach, a campfire with a beer and a delicious dinner. Recommended !

Amazing scenery, amazing ambience , amazing eco friendly architecture , amazing team to take care of you and pamper you with attention and great food presented in Michelin star way. The hotel in the midst of national forest with private jacuzzi pool overlooking the forest was a treat. The care provided by staff was heart touching . We visited Yala for two days (with two separate game drives - one evening and one morning one) and although we enjoyed the animals we observed, we did not have any sightings of leopards despite being the national park with the highest concentration in the world. But that is nature so we were just unlucky on those days. However, the most disappointing aspect of Yala was the sheer number of vehicles allowed into the park at one time. As soon as elephants or leopards are sighted, drivers communicate among themselves and vehicles all rush to the scene creating a massive traffic jams. This makes it feel very mass market and doesn’t seem very respectful of the wildlife

Terrible time. No wild animals as expected.
Terrible time. No wild animals as expected. Roads are all around the jungle which is pretty disturbing to the wild life. After all it is supposed to be a protected zone for wild life. Jeeps are crawling every corner of the territory. Amused to see all of that disturbing scenes in a wild life protected zone. It's like business zone. Poor animals.

I loved Yala.
I loved Yala. The number of different animals seen was slightly disappointing but apparently wash outs due to rain prevented us from accessing some internal roads. The sunrise and scenery were stunning. I would rate it as good value despite the lack of animals. The whole experience was wonderful.

The national park in Yala is beautiful however it is hard to drive around as the roads are poorly maintained. There is a large populatin of birds and i think this safari would suit bird watchers more than those who want to see the elephants. The 6am -6pm safari is too long.
Sigiriya is far superior when it comes to large herds of elephants.

The hike in the nature reserve was amazing, we saw lots of amazing animals and landscapes.
Were lucky and we were able to meet the tiger as well.
It is important to note that the trip should take drinks and food, the hotel staff where we were did not tell us the length of the trip and did not make sure to let us know that we should take care of ourselves.
Of course we were smarter and brought with us the necessary equipment ..
But there were those next to us who did not and that was unfortunate

We stayed at Laya Beach resort which was very beautiful and was very close to our safari's which made our stay even better.
The beach, however, was too rough to swim which was a little disappointing.
This is a great hotel and we had a very enjoyable 3 night stay. The location is excellent, less than 5 minutes from the entrance to Yala. The hotel is in a lovely spot - there is direct access to the beach and the pool overlooks a lake with buffalo, crocodiles, birds etc. The rooms are well equipped, a good size and very comfortable. Dinner is a choice of a la carte or buffet - the buffet food was excellent, very high quality and plenty of choice. The staff were great, very friendly and always smiling and helped us with a late check out.
We had the most magnificent stay at Hilton Yala. Everything was perfect. You could really see that the hotel was newly built, everything in the room was perfect and designed to perfection and the rooms are very spacious. The personal was also super helpful and very friendly and catered all of our wishes. We even had the chance to see an elephant only a few meters away while we were laying on the pool and he entered the property which was amazing! Would definitely go back immeadiately.
The exceptionally nice and friendly staff and the close location to the entrance of Yala National Park made this stay close to nature very special. We felt very well taken care of and were very happy of our choice to stay at Yakaduru camp. Very knowledgeable Nishanta took us for a very interesting bush walk with lots of insights about local wildlife and community. The full day safari - also organized by the friendly staff - was full of wildlife sightings and definitely recommendable.
The Hilton Yala was a very unique state of the art property in the middle of a National Park!
The hotel grounds, pool, architecture, and overall layout were stunning and something we haven’t experienced before.
However what made this one of the most memorable experience for us is the amazing and ever smiling staff right from the reception, kitchen, and room service staff.
Their executive chef was always there smiling and greeting the guests which made this super special!
Amazing service, giving the best effort to make an unique experience.
Despite camping, the rooms seems like a good hotel with large comfortable room.
We stayed one night only, 2 could have been better for the safari and enjoy more the hotel.
It was during our honeymoon and they made sure everything was pretty special.
Special attention from food and beverage manager who seemed to be running the whole place, making sure everything worked out
This is a great hotel to book whilst in Yala! Very good value for money. Huge bed and very comfy and a nice warm shower.
The safari we booked through them was incredible. We saw two leopards, many elephants and a black bear! (And many more beautiful animals). Our safari driver they arranged was particularly great (ask for Rowan!)
They also packed us a lovely little breakfast for the safari.
Highly recommend!
We loved the room, its design, lication and coziness with beautiful views to the beach, and the staff friendliness, specifically at the pool bar and restaurant and mostly reception area.
The pool is definitely a highlight! And ideal starting location for Safari but still wanting to enjoy beach flair.
Breakfast buffet and staff friendliness was just outstanding, a true 5 star hospitality experience !!!!

Hiruni & Chathura .
Great place to stay if you are wanting to visit Yala for safari. Large rooms, good Sri Lankan food and nice to have the option to use the swimming pool. Good communication with host via WhatsApp He arranged our transfers and an excellent safari trip where we saw elephants. A good base for if you are wanting to visit Yala for safari
Our stay at Aqua Hotel Yala was pure bliss! The staff's hospitality and the cleanliness of the rooms surpassed all expectations. Being so close to the national park allowed us to easily explore the wonders of nature, knowing we had a cozy retreat waiting for us. We can't wait to return!
the rooms were spacious, the food was delicious, the staff was wonderful...the experience of "glamping" in the national park surrounded by nature and no walls was quite exciting. The safari was fun, the food provided was great, and we had a BBQ night which exceeded our expectations.
Everything was perfect
The best place stay in Yala
Restaurant was the highlight in the hotel Breakfast & dinner buffet was very delicious
Also the staff very helpful
The hotel arrange safari trip for very reasonable price
We enjoyed our stay & will come back again
My friends and me had a very nice stay in this hotel. The house was clean, calm, and the staff was really nice. We took the safari trip to yala with them also and we don’t regret it. It was really well organised and the guide was so motivated! So go for it!
Our hotel room was exceptional and very beautiful! Our hotel did organize a full day safari tour and prepared breakfast and lunch for us. We really enjoyed the stay at Wild Culture Yala!
The location is amazing and the views over Yala National park are out of this world. The rooms as well were so unique and beautiful and the staff were very welcoming and friendly.
Unique experience in close proximity to Ayala national park. Glamping at its best. Incredible staff effort to bring luxury to a tranquil setting in a true wildlife surrounding.
Amazing property, amazing staff and amazing facilities. Has to be one of the best hotels I have stayed at by far. There is nothing in this facility that I would change!
