The bed was comfortable & very, very warm. The shower was hot with a good stream. Our train was very late & the hostess waited for us to arrive- we were extremely grateful for that! We could also leave our bags while we looked around the town.

Great host, comfortable rooms, and beautiful patio. We got here 'by accident' because of our altitude sickness in Cusco and loved this place right from the start! It's a lot more hospitable, clean and relaxed. The staff gave us great advice and was ready to help wherever they could (laundry, money exchange, touristic places, etc). Thank you very much!

Lovely quiet hotel on the edge of Ollantaytambo. Walking distance from the train station for Machu Picchu. Comfortable bed, decent shower, and a fantastic breakfast. Biker friendly! Incredibly generous host let me leave my motorcycle and bags at the hotel for two days while I visited Machu Picchu. Amazing.

The absolute best town to stay for your trip to the Sacred Valley or Machu Picchu! The most beautiful historical centre and with ruins on both sides to ecplore. What an amazing town! Do mot even think about staying in Aguas Calientes, here there is so much character and history with the most beautiful architecture to explore and streers to get lost in. Definitely a must stay over!!

We made Ollantaytambo our home base for our Sacred Valley...
We made Ollantaytambo our home base for our Sacred Valley visit and were glad we did. It was small enough to walk everywhere, the train station, the square, the archaeological park, the original pre-colonial section of town. We visited in the low season in the last half of February and enjoyed the smaller number of visitors.

We messed up our communication and did not get tickets to Machu Picchu. Do your research and purchase tickets BEFORE you arrive…months in advance for high season. Nevertheless we toured the archeological wonders of the Sacred Valley— Temples of the sun and moon and more. It was very spiritually powerful and architecturally awe inspiring, did not feel like a consolation prize for missing MP…. Just a reason to come back. Do not miss this tour if you are hire… and hire the guide. It’s worth it. Food was great here too.

We loved this town. In total we stayed 3 nights.
We loved this town. In total we stayed 3 nights. And would've preferred to stay another night instead of returning to Cusco. The restaurants are plenty and good, the people are so nice, and the coffee shops are nice. Hiking all around, and the ruins and market are enjoyable.
Both walking everywhere is good and getting a taxi is also easy.
My husband and I stayed here as a base for the journey to Machu Picchu. The hotel has a lovely garden - full of Christmas decorations at this time of year - and is in a great location; 5 minutes to the train station, 5 minutes to the central square. Our room was spacious, and the staff was very helpful and accommodating, which made our stay even nicer. If you decide to start your MP journey in Ollantaytambo, we highly recommend - and the breakfast starts at 6 am, which is very convenient for those with an early start!
The Hotel is located in the perfect spot for everything. It is near to railway station, restaurants and market. It is just 1 min if you take moto taxi to reach the train station. The staff helped us literally in everything. He packed box breakfast early in the morning around 4 am as we had our train to MachuPicchu at 5 am. The hotel was too good in terms of cleanliness. Especially hot shower available all the time and climate control ( heater)was also available. Highly recommend. Balcony view is wonderful.
This is a small hotel within walking distance from the town square. It's simple but still charming, clean and quiet. We decided to stay in Ollantaytambo ("Ollanta") instead of Machu Picchu Pueblo (ex Aguas Calientes) which turned out to be a good choice. Ollanta is a nice little village with their own inca-heritage. The train station is easy accessable for the morning train to Machu. The staff (mother and daughter?) in the hotel is helpful and friendly. Would we stay there again? Yes, probably.
This hotel offers a simple, affordable, comfortable place to stay. It's not fancy, but the bed was comfortable and the service from Maria was excellent. She offered a simple breakfast to get going in the morning, helped with laundry, and she has a cooler full of water so you never run out. If you start a few nights, you'll fast become friends. This is also an easy walk from the train station and only a few steps from the Ollantaytambo ruins on one side, and the plaza on the other.
Staff is polite and helpful. Hotel is 10 in walk from bus station and is right at railway station which is very convenient if you go to Machu Picchu. Nearby there’re many cafes and farm with animals for free to walk. Hotel has Very nice green territory and it’s pleasant to rest at patio’s chairs. Room is clean and looks exactly like on pictures. Free water, bathrobe, hair dryer make living comfortable.
it’s a hidden gem of the city. Freshly renovated, new family runs hotel.
Alex ( the owner) is a very hospitable and helpful person. He gave us a lot of info about the city and the shortest way to reach the train station (10 min).
Also, one of our friend had a food poisoning and Alex helped us with giving a natural tea. it helped a lot.
We are highly recommend this place!!!
Nice hotel incorporating some inka buildings, small but pleasant garden, excellent breakfast, comfortable beds, hot shower. We had a triple room, which was quiet, even it was facing the street. We liked the atmosphere there and the service. The manager was helpfull with arraging a Taxi to Cusco for a fair price. We recommend this hotel to everyone comming to Ollantaytambo.
perfect perfect perfect
ollantaytambo is a quant authentic village filled with Incan culture. to top our visit the hotel met just that same description, the room was conformable and clean and staff extremely helpful with ideas on what to explore and the hidden treasures surrounding the village.
breakfast was lovely with plenty of food and drinks
beautiful little hotel
The hotel is super close to the train station, 5 minutes away. So, if you choose to leave from Ollantaytambo to Machu Picchu early in the morning, it is a very good option. They also provide a frugal breakfast to go early in the morning.
The shower was great, good pressure & hot water.
The room was clean & offered all we needed for 1 night.
I loved the location and the quiet room that I had with the spectacular views of the mountains. The bed was comfy. The pillows were soft and the blanket was super warm. The room was huge. You can access the train station, from where you can go to Machupicchu right from the hotel, which is super convenient.
The staff at this hotel were so friendly and helpful. This place has beautiful mountain view. The place is clean, very quiet, and nice. They made our stay so enjoyable and comfortable. It's only 10 minutes walk to the train station. It's a wonderful place to stay.
Great place to stay near the train station. I left at 4.30am to get the first train to Machu Picchu and the staff were kind enough to give me a takeaway breakfast- that was a very nice touch. Rooms clean and very comfortable. I recommend this place!
The hotel grounds are beautiful. We really enjoyed the sound of the water running through the facility. Breakfast was great and we also enjoyed a couple of dinners here. Close proximity to the train station and the inca ruins.
Ollantaytambo is a fascinating little town with much to see & do. Inka’s Haven Hotel is a great central spot to experience everything. The 2 gentleman hosts were wonderful and served a nice breakfast every day.
Small, family-run hotel that’s right in the center of Ollantaytambo with clean rooms at a good value. There are small space heaters in the room which help with the cold.
