It offers rooms with sea views and free Wi-Fi in public areas. We liked everything about this property. We arrived early to a very welcoming Sara at the front desk. She spoke English well enough to not only understand us but made an effort to communicate answers to questions we had. She let us check in early and leave our bags in a side room so we could explore the area. Sara gave us directions to lunch suggestions, sights, groceries, laundry and beach while also cleaning and getting ready for new guests. Upon our return to check in to our room we were excited to open the door and see the unbelievable view of the beach, mountains, ocean, etc. The room was clean, comfortable and full of amenities. We had a wonderful walk on the beach and saw the many sights including the evening walk out to the lighthouse (Sara gave us suggestions, taxi # if we wanted to use it) Breakfast the next morning was included. Perfect selection of everything you would want to start the day with Sara’s friendly personality serving things up. Highly recommend this place because of the staff, location, comfort, cleanliness, amenities, and the VIEW! Breathtaking!!! We have stayed in many, many places on our Camino from Porto to Santiago. Hotel Mar de Fisterra is definitely #1. Thank you! We will tell others and hopefully return ourselves. 👍❤️👣

Convento de San Benito is a restored convent, set in the pretty Galician fishing port of A Guarda. The spacious rooms all have a french balcony, a minibar and a safe.

It’s worth changing your travel plans just to be able to stay here. The 16-century convent is rich in character and colour, filled with authentic artefacts, yet so comfortable! Our room was a wonderful combination of vintage furniture and modern-day comfort. Very quiet. The bathroom was pristine, with new, modern fixtures. The lobby, common areas and cloister are beautiful. The friendly staff welcome you with a glass of port wine and cookies. Location is perfect too. Great value for money. We absolutely loved it!

Only 150 metres from the cathedral, this hotel is ideally placed for exploring the city’s history on foot. The owner has sensitively restored the old stone building, retaining its ancient stonework and restoring exposed and time-blackened wooden beams. The guest rooms are simply but comfortably decorated, each with a small private bathroom with shower. The breakfast was very good, the room was very comfortable and the staff was very kind.
