The view from the room was excellent, allowed for peace and quite at all times. Sitting on the deck having a morning coffee and later on a cocktail was comfortable and peaceful.
The staff were amazing, beyond what I've experienced elsewhere on the island. Food and drinks were provided in a very timely manner and the quality was again superior to anywhere else I've stayed before in Rarotonga.
This beachfront resort is set amongst beautiful pathways, swaying palm trees and tropical gardens. Guests can relax around the swimming pool or enjoy cocktails at the swim-up bar.

Overall the breakfast was good although some days there was a little less selection and the hot food was not topped up quick enough. The staff were all super friendly and nothing was a problem. The location and setting is gorgeous and they keep the grounds looking raked and beautiful always.

Rarotonga is a must if you are looking for a slow chilled holiday, we loved it and we had a 6 month old with us. The people are all lovely and the food was quite divine, especially Takitumu tapus in Muri. The sea is phenomenal and we were lucky enough to just be out swimming by ourselves and see turtles. Resorts are welcoming even if you are not staying there. We were told it was pricey however we found it rather inexpensive, some things were on par with NZ and even a little cheaper at times for the quality. Loved our trip and will be back, note if you are there on a Sunday- most things are closed, however some eateries are still open just to be aware.

people were friendly, the food was very good and reasonable priced.
Didn't need a car as Muri Beach area has lots of eating places within walking distance and the bus is handy as well.

Our trip was amazing, however there was one theme that was a huge put off. Some of the places we went had absolutely horrible attitudes towards us. Rude with no greetings and sour faces, it is not nice to be treated like that. This was NOT at every place we went but it was enough times to stand out.
Apart from that....it was a fun filled trip

Rarotonga is a great place to visit.
Rarotonga is a great place to visit. Its layed back and the weather is very nice. The beaches are great. We ate at Supper Browne in Tupapa at their cafe which was reasonably cheap steak meal. The local food on the early morning on Sunday was fantastic. Going to the movies could be good for young couples to spend some quality time without being too occupied with big expensive activities.
We loved the quiet location with views between the trees from our villa to Muri Beach. It was a short walk to dairies, cafes, Muri Night Market and the Muri Beach Club pool. The villa was spacious, cool and had modern furniture and lovely deck with outdoor furniture. Good kitchen facilities so we could make our own meals if we wanted to. The large bed was very comfortable.
Access to Muri Beach Club facilities and beach was a bonus. The owner was very responsive in helping us with transport from the airport. We would definitely stay again.
A lovely hotel, right on the beach. Everything was very clean, the bed was very comfortable. The facilities in the room were excellent, with a little kitchenet, and the room had air conditioning, a must in a hot and humid climate. The staff were so friendly, and the tropical breakfast was lovely. We enjoyed eating outside in the shade, watching the sea, every morning. We would recommend renting a car or scooter for part of your time in Rarotonga, so that you can visit places that interest you.
Wow!
what an amazing place that had everything and so so much more for our family and friends.
Between the 2 main houses they easily accommodated 14 people with lovely big decks that looked straight out to the beach.
We had the absolute best time at Vaiakura and are very grateful to our host Rhett who was so friendly and accomodating, nothing was a problem!
We’re already planning our next trip back to Rarotonga and Vaiakura Holiday Houses.
Thank you!
Muri Beach Club Hotel has all the amenities of a large resort but is small enough to be intimate for couples and small groups. Beautiful location in the heart of Muri. We had a beachfront room with the best views of the beach and motu. The staff are friendly and we want to thank the General Manager, Liana, for looking after us on check in. She definitely went above and beyond.
A great glamping experience. The tent (it feels wrong to use that basic word when it's such a beautiful facility!) is well-equipped, very comfortable and clean. The gardens are beautiful, and the location is only a few minutes' walk from the main road if you need to catch a bus. The owners were exceptionally helpful vs other places I've stayed in the Cook Islands.
I arrived late but my hosts had checked in for me and left the registration papers for me to sign and give back in the morning making it very convenient after a long day. To be honest it's well worth your money. Their information book was awesome and helped me. It's not 5 star but the hosts, and everything make The Cooks Oasis 10 stars.
Breakfast was a simple continental style but sufficient for a family. Overall condition of the hotel was clean and tidy for its age. A comfortable stay for families with young children, snorkeling is available just off the beach although very close to waves breaking, so there is a strong current. Overall good value for money.
This villa was a perfect spot to enjoy the beauty of Rarotonga. We never got our amazing sunset due to it being overcast, but I know they must be magical. This is a quiet beach house, but still only a short drive to town if you need more nightlife. The host is very accommodating and the villa is spotless. We will be back.
A little dated but a quiet and adult only resort. The staff was the best I experienced in a long time. They really treated you as family. The location was good, especially if you like whale watching. It was nearing the end of the whale season but many were still present and we could see them from our room.
Location was ideal. Right in town with easy access to cafes, restaurants, bars & buses. Room was a bit dated, but spacious & clean. Lots of dogs and chickens to make sure you wake up on time, but I think that's pretty typical for Rarotonga. Housekeeping was every other day and they did an excellent job.
Everything. We loved our trip to the Cook Islands, and staying at Avana Waterfront Apartments is a large part of why we had the best time. The location is central to all the must sees, and dos. The host is particularly lovely and accommodating. We can't wait to return!
Staff are some of the best we've come across. The amazing chef tweeked his menu to facilitate my husband's food intolerance and the food was great too. Experience very refreshing compared to other restaurants. Staff were happy to chat to guests.
The location of the place was very handy to a lot of tourist attractions. I would highly recommend this house to anyone who wishes to travel to Rarotonga for a nice family trip or group of friends. The host was very friendly and accommodating.
The accommodations were excellent! Of all the locations we have stayed at, the villa was absolutely one of the best. Catherine was very helpful and friendly. The soaking pool was really nice after a day of adventure on the island.
love that there were so many fish to see straight out from the beach! we’ve stayed elsewhere for the second part of our trip at muri beach but caught the bus and came back to Rarotonga for another day of snorkelling
Location to beachfront ideal. Good proximity to Wigmores Supermarket, easy drive to Muri Beach and a few nice restaurants. Great snorkelling at Fruits of Rarotonga.
