Location was on a busy road, but we slept well as there was not much traffic overnight.I am a light sleeper and it was fine for me.
We didn’t eat at the hotel. Bar was nice and relaxing in a busy town on market day. We were very grateful to escape inside and have a drink.
Beautiful patisserie next door for croissants and coffee in the morning.

L’Isle sur la Sorgue is a beautiful little town in between the river Sorgue with outdoor seating at restaurants on the water, charming, friendly locals, outdoor markets, lovely shopping, fabulous antiques, and centrally located to explore other towns in Provence.

I stayed in late December, so not generally ideal for tourists. Don't be put off if you need to travel in winter. This is a great little town and surrounding area. It is full of history and character with very friendly locals. Shops are well-stocked with some intriguing items for sale. The centre of town is generally traffic free but there is plenty of free public parking on the fringe of the island. There are plenty of health services, beauty services and even a hospital. The Thursday market should not be missed. The town changes character in the late afternoon when locals come out into the last of the winter sun for their aperitifs. I was sad to leave and plan to return soon.

A lovely little town - the Venice of Provence!
A lovely little town - the Venice of Provence! Big enough to offer a variety of things to do and small enough to explore over a few days watch out for Sundays - it's packed with people for the antique market and all car parking spaces disappear. Some wonderful restaurants and small shops and well located for exploring the Luberon.

If you don't need to wash your clothes, this is a great choice - in a convenient central location and nicely decorated rooms. But, there was no washing machine as described online and we were told to go to a 15min-away laundromat that could take credit card, but there was no way to pay by credit card. free parking in several nearby public parking places.

Charming village; busy and colourful Sunday market; beautiful weather. Plenty of bistros and restaurants. Infrequent public transport: it is important to obtain the SNCF railway timetable and the 906 bus service timetable (and read them carefully!).

This is a medieval town built on an island in a gorgeous spring-fed river. As the river reaches town, it splits at least 5 ways, going in double paths around both sides, witt other old little canals up the middle. There used to be 70 mills in town, and there are still over a dozen big old mill wheels in operation. The town is big enough to have lots of food and shopping choices (and major antique center) and small and fortunate enough to have free parking. Most areas are pedestrian only. Renting bikes, seeing cute neighboring towns, seeing Fountaine Vaucluse, renting canoes to go down the river. . .
Great place!

We stayed at this hotel in 2005 and remembered it as a great place to stay and that opinion hasn't changed. Great location, just across the river from the old town with an easy walk to most of the restaurants in town. Large, well kept rooms, good beds, large bathroom, plenty of hot water, elevator, friendly and accommodating staff, and secure parking in the hotel parking lot or underground. Excellent breakfast at extra cost. Great value for the money and I highly recommend this hotel.
Location of the hotel was central, it was just a few minutes walking to restaurants and shops. Very clean room. Restaurant on site or a bakery next door. The staff was incredible, super helpful and provided great recommendations. The beds were very comfortable and the AC worked well, which was a plus after a long day of walking in the summer heat! Bed was comfortable, blackout curtains were also nice since I had a ground room floor that was closest to the on-site restaurant.
The room was very large and comfortable with interesting decor and the hotel is a very tranquil setting. The breakfast is excellent and the host, Frederick, is extremely friendly and helpful in every way, particularly in regard to parking and retrieving your car, making dinner reservations and giving onward travel suggestions. The location could not be better, it is an interesting drive into the old town but once there everything is in easy walking distance.
Stay in the apartment was really nice, clean and cozy, we had everything we needed, location was excellent, few minutes from restaurants and shop, but in very peacefull and quiet place. Owner François was very friendly and helpful and communication with him was great. We highly recommend this stay and if we would come back to Provence any time in the future, we would go there again.
Welcoming and charming hosts, beautiful garden with outdoor games and pool, 2km from Isle -Sur-La-Sorgue town, at proximity of many beautiful Provence hilltop villages in distance of 20-30 km by car. Very good breakfast with fresh egg, fresh fruit salad, large choice of home made jam. Bedding is comfortable, large, medium-firm mattress type.
The location is spectacular for visiting the lavender fields and villages in Provence. The apartment is small but it would be perfect for a solo traveler as was I. It may be a little crowded for a couple. The fact that it has assigned parking was a major plus since parking in L’Isle Sur La Sorgue Can be a real problem.
One of the best things about this apartment was the location. It was right in the heart of the old town of l’Isle sur la Sorgue. It was also sparkling clean and decorated in a hip, quirky way which we loved. The covered outdoor patio was also a treat. I highly recommend 54 la Provence!
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The maisonnette was spacious, had everything for cooking, AC, TV, radio, DVD player, a nice terrasse. The spa was also quite nice. There is a very good bakery, a supermarket and restaurants within walking distance. The stay was very relaxing.
The hotel is lovely in the reception area but the rooms need redecorating in a big way ! very old and dark brown .
the restaurant staff are quite rude!!! And I spoke France which they did not no soooo I could under stand the rude things they were saying.
Staff were friendly and outgoing. Location was a bit strange/hard to find, but it also made it feel like a special discovery to stumble upon a nice hotel tucked away where it was. Breakfast room is right on the river - very nice.
The hotel was lovely and although very centrally located, it was exceptionally quiet. I heard no noise whatsoever from the street or other guests. The breakfast in the courtyard was a wonderful start to the day.
