Everything was just lovely. Called in advance for an early check in as we were travelling from afar and attending a wedding, the staff couldn't have been more accommodating - we called en-route at short notice and they diverted the chamber maid so the could get our room ready. Bead was comfy, room was lovely (Sherbourne), breakfast was scrumptious.

The Slaughters are gorgeous & if you love walking, you can walk from Bourton-on the Water , and also walk between Lower & Upper Slaughter. It’s relatively flat, so moderate fitness is adequate. Just make sure you have good walking shoes as it can be a bit muddy on the track

This area is so heavily burdened by tourists that I felt bad for contributing to the problem. It is picturesque and the people are lovely. If you are visiting, I hope you will have the manners to consider where you put your trash and to not obstruct other people when you are trying to get your 1000 pics for social media.

Bourton on the Water, is a beautiful country town but a nightmare on a bank holiday….too busy. The locals were not very welcoming and a little curt when speaking to you except for Venezia - the staff and family were very welcoming and the food was delicious. So too was The Willow. Staff were super friendly and food was good. The rest of the local community are quite rude, maybe they were exhausted from the Bank holiday weekend? Bourton on the Water is picturesque and very well worth a visit. It was lovely to sit along the river and people watch.

A lovely historic town with some tourist attractions within walking distance. We spent a day exploring the town and visited the model village, the motor museum and Birdland. There are many cafes and restaurants to choose from; in warmer weather it would be lovely to eat outside and enjoy the views of the river.

The hotel was spotlessly clean, and tastefully decorated. It felt homely with very helpful staff. The breakfast was superb - as good as a very lovely hotel in London I stayed in recently! A lovely fruit salad, scrambled egg, smoked salmon and toast that hadn't gone soggy by the time it was served. Excellent. A full English was had by the rest of the family and they said that was good too. The location is perfect - a few minutes from Bourton on the water town centre.

Breakfast and dinner was great, the food was top class. Very dog friendly hotel. The staff were very tentative and friendly.
The room was large and the bed was surprisingly comfortable, the bathroom was modern and clean.
Very old worldly place with uneven floors and low ceilings like many other similar buildings.
Will be going back some time in the future!
