It was a good location in the Lakes, we stayed for a wedding down the road. The members of staff were all super helpful and friendly. Can’t fault the service at all. The breakfast also had a good variety, though was a bit greasy

Absolutely beautiful area. Close proximity to parks, as well as National Trust parks, gardens, shops, planned walks, activities for all abilities, amazing countryside and of course the Lakes. Very dog friendly. We fell in love with it, and didn't want to return home. We will definitely be going again.

There are wonderful hikes of all different lengths -- one hour to 8 hours -- and you get extraordinary views from all of them. And there always seems to be a nearby pub at the end of the hike! Truly great hiking and friendly people. We had a great dinner at the Fellpack restaurant too.

Very nice town many interesting shops pubs and cafes with a very good museum stop the weekly market small bit interesting. It was a very short walk down to the waterfront which has a good compliment of boats etc. The variety of pubs was excellent and it was much appreciated that the town had a wetherspoon. As a transport hub it was easy for myself which did not have a car to visit many areas. It is also close to both high heels for walking and for much lower level walks what's up this would suit all tastes.

The Lake District is a beautiful part of England and Keswick is a lovely place within it. It's big enough to have a small town feel bit small enoght to have a village feel. Coupled with this is its direct position on the lake with its beautiful views of hills/mountains (I can never tell the difference!) in balance with the lake on its islands. Altogether its a wonderfully peaceful place to chill alone or socialise with lovely people as you choose.

As a person who enjoys driving, the roads to the Lake District are some of the most spectacular…as long as the weather is nice to take in the views.
The main road of the A591 takes you from Keswick to Windermere. What a drivers road and the views!
Even at the busiest time we have been, we have managed to park up. Be warned though, as must places these days, cash payment are not accepted, so be prepared to download or use your phone to make payment.
Otherwise the area is very well kept and hats off to the locals and those that visit for keeping this gem, super clean.
This isn’t a place where you will see cheap tacky shops which is a blessing. You will of course pay a premium for some other stuff.
Keswick has its own lake and boat trips which are great to use on a warm day and to rest those weary limbs.
There is a large amount varying restaurants , Steaks, Indians, Thai etc, so you are spoilt for choice. Locally made beers are also on tap.
Very relaxing in all respects. Loved the traditional oak staircase and wood panelling, comfortable lounge and dining area. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, with a good choice of options. Evening meal was very good as well. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great location with lots of walks on the doorstep and nice views over Bassenthwaite lake. The town centre of Keswick is a 10 minute drive away. Truly dog friendly and great to see!
Right on the pedestrian only square in Keswick. Right by the old church/town hall. Perfect location. Beautiful hotel, winding staircase, all the charm of old world hotel. Rustic bar. Rooms were clean and big. Staff were great, restaurant downstairs for dinner was great, and nice breakfast. Car parking is just behind the hotel basically. Charming.
Lovely peaceful area yet still just a short walk from the town centre. We found easy on street parking by the hotel. Room and bathroom had a homely feel, were clean and comfortable with all the usual requirements. Being on the top level it also had outstanding views. Breakfast was superb with absolutely everything you could ask for available.
Breakfast always delicious. Paul was very friendly and helpful in recommending us good restaurants and walking routes. Despite the predictably awful weather in the lakes in November we had a fab time exploring Derwentwater.
The B&B is close to Keswick town centre, easy to find and has lovely views of the River Greta and Skiddaw.
The apartment was very clean, modern had everything and more that we needed.
Beds comfortable and plenty of space for the 3 of us. There were plenty of toys/ games for a rainy day but luckily we didn't need them.
The apartment was 5 minutes to the centre of Keswick so location was perfect.
Will definitely book again thank you.
Good location just a few minutes walk from Keswick town centre and within easy driving distance of other attractions. There was a nice choice for breakfast; they even offered a cooked vegan breakfast which was very welcome. Debbie and Ian were excellent hosts, the room was modern, bright and airy and very clean.
Lovely B&B in a great location, just a few minutes walk from the centre of Keswick. We were made to feel welcome straight away and were given lots of good recommendations about the local area. Very accommodating at breakfast and the room was cleaned throughout the day. We would definitely stay at Glendale again.
The bed was comfortable and the view from the room was amazing.
Great location right in the centre of Keswick and a short walk to the lake.
We were messaged prior the stay that there would be no cooked breakfast due to staffing issues, but in the end cooked breakfast was provided which was nice.
Clean and comfortable, well equipped and superb location. Nice views from lounge and kitchen. Good WiFi and television channel choice. Kitchen well equipped and milk, tea and coffee on arrival. Short walk to Keswick Town centre and supermarkets, pubs restaurants and cafes.
The host and staff were very helpful and friendly. The meals were tremendous, the steak and gammon were cooked exactly the way we asked. The hotel is such good value for your money and is right in the middle of Keswick. We would definitely recommend this hotel.
The house was immaculate, well appointed and in a great location to be quiet, but still only a few minutes walk from Keswick town centre. Parking was free and right outside the house. We would definitely recommend Stanegarth, and indeed stay here again.
We had a fabulous break at the hotel. Lovely old Victorian building well restored to a high standard. Brilliant staff, lovely food and restaurant and a relaxing lounge area. 5 min walk to town centre. Overall I would highly recommend!!
Friendly welcoming host. Lovely room. Lots of storage space. Comfortable bed. Close to town centre. Good choice of food for breakfast, which was cooked and presented really well. I will definitely return here next time I visit Keswick
Clean room, quiet room, comfortable bed. Views of the lake fantastic, Good choice of breakfast menu. Car park a bonus for a small charge. close to town centre. Friendly staff.
Staff were brilliant, couldn't do enough for you. Room was lovely and cosy, yet spacious. The location was brilliant for Keswick town centre and Derwent Water.
