Def a place to visit while being in Nepal, but I somehow got the feeling that the locality has lost a lot of its soul with increasing commercialization of tourism. I heard that before all the tourist lodges were built, Rhino could regularly be seen in Sauraha itself.
Recommend to visit, maybe for 2-3 nights at best.

July and august are not tourist season in Nepal
July and august are not tourist season in Nepal
That why chitwan park is closed while other side parks are open
Also hotel and restaurant are not well prepared because it’s off season period
Also one single advantage is area is not crowded

A lovely town that has more more to offer than the National Park.
You could easily spent a day or two visiting surroundiings on a bike or even by foot.
Or spent some hours along the river side. or just walk up and down the main road in the village..
The staff were super friendly and so helpful and really made the trip to Chitwan super special.
The owner took us on a half day walking trip in the jungle and we learned so much about the plants and animals. He also organised a jeep trip in the afternoon.
Ghanga very kindly went to town and got some lights for us to take home as we loved the ones in the room. Nothing was too much trouble.
The hotel was lovely with very spacious rooms and a very comfy bed.
What a brilliant place!! I think the owner Raj is one of the most cheerful happy guys in Nepal! All the staff are actually fantastic here and make your stay in Chitwan so much fun. They have great tour options (not inflated prices either) and are so close to the NP you can walk there. Food is absolutely delicious, and the beds are comfortable and huge. We had a huge room with a garden view and great hot water.
Gorgeous view of the river and Chitwan National Park from the balcony outside the room. The staff were incredibly lovely, always smiling and happy to help with any questions or sorting us out with bus tickets. The room was great, clean, with coffee making facilities and 24 hour hot shower. Breakfast was also excellent with a nice menu. Would definitely recommend and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!
Great experience. We had a deluxe room and it was very comfortable and clean. Everyone we interacted with from the receptionist, to the “bell boy”, to the restaurant server were lovely / super friendly. They lend you binoculars to use for the many animal sightings and they even include a free pick up and drop off to and from hotel. Would definitely stay here again.
We booked the hotel for 4 days and we really liked the hotel. The staff, Sabina and Sakila, were wonderful. They gave us very good customer service, and they went beyond their Limits to provide the best service.
The food was wonderful and the prices were reasonable.
The hotel location is amazing.
We really enjoyed our trip.
We will definitely visit again.
Everything!! It was the best stay in the entire trip. The food, the location, the outdoor shower, the napping crocodiles in front! The staff was the best! If you are in chitwan, definitely go for it! U get a blissful experience without breaking ur bank!
Lot's of love for Nala the dog, the staff and the cat who slept with us 😅 Hope to come here again!💗
Prakash was extremely helpful and professional. He helped us book our safari tours, arranged a scooter and booked our bus tickets back to Kathmandu. Anything we needed he made it easy. The hotel is very clean and in a great location for viewing rhinos coming out of the park. It’s also a quiet location but close enough to downtown to walk.
The property is a sprawling one set in one corner of Sauraha - just at the periphery of the Buffer zone of the Chitwan National Park. The rooms / cottages and spacious and clean. The in-house restaurant has limited options but overall the food is tasty. They also arrange for safaris and other recreational activities.
The rooms at Chitwan Village Resort are comfortable and well-appointed, and the resort has a restaurant that serves delicious food. The staff is friendly and helpful, always ensuring guests have a pleasant stay. The resort has an outdoor garden and has a nearby jungle, adding to the peaceful and relaxing atmosphere.
