The downtown area looks like a typical Cruise destination.

The downtown area looks like a typical Cruise destination. Lots of shops with 10000 tee shirts, but some nice and expensive ones as well. Lobster rolls are the big thing, but pricey.'The best restaurants are not the town center, they are outside.

The time spent was on the opening shoulder season. The price was awesome and the staff as well. If you want a 100% of all the facilities just wait a few weeks and you will have some great extras. Perfect distance from Bar Habor as you are in your own small hamlet

Lovely coastal town free of chain restaurants!!

Lovely coastal town free of chain restaurants!! All the shops and restaurants seemed locally owned and unique to the area. We enjoyed lots of seafood like fresh lobster, clam chowder and lobster bisque. Be sure to walk the coastal path and take a harbor cruise! We loved flying Cape Air from Boston to Bar Harbor to see the coast and islands--just be sure to pick up your luggage in Boston and bring it to the Cape Air terminal! Restaurants we liked-- Geddy's, Ben & Bills Chocolate Emporium for ice cream/gelato/fudge, Stewman's, Bar Harbor Lobster Pound --they had outdoor games, too! Of course, don't miss Acadia National Park and Abel's Lobster right by the yacht yard--great outdoor ambiance!!

We enjoyed sunrises at Cadillac Mountain, crossing the bar at low tide, hiking the Beehive, the Bubbles, and Acadia Mountain, and walking on a small portion of the carriage roads. Bar Harbor had great food, but it was tough to get into the restaurants. Our favorite was the Side Street Cafe. We went in late October. Pros - lower crowds. Con - water activities and some restaurants were already closed for the season.

This is our 2nd year visiting Acadia National Park and staying in best Western Acadia Inn..we love the place! Very accessible to the park and downtown. The Inn is well maintained, staff are courteous and the breakfast is good..nothing extraordinary but decent and served hot.I love that the protocols for Covid prevention are being followed. Plus is the pool which my kids loved! For sure we will be back as we love Bar Harbor and will be staying at this Inn again.

It was a beautiful Victorian house with a lot of charm but recently updated. It was conveniently located in downtown Bar Harbor near shops and restaurants and the land bridge to Bar Island. The Saltair also had a beautiful lawn that overlooked its pristine private beach. Matt and Christy were gracious hosts and thought of everything. The breakfast there was the best breakfast I have ever had!

Did not stay they wanted $50.00 pet fee each for our two dogs. Would have been a extra $300 on our bill. Should inquire that when booking. Very disappointed we will never use book.com again. Days Inn still changing full fee for not even staying with them. I thought pet friendly place would have a area for dogs was no grassy place for the dogs the pictures are decieving.

I booked at this property because it provides good value for money and is a 20 minute walk to the main streets in Bar Harbor, where parking can be a challenge. I found this to be a comfortable hotel which exceeded my expectations and I would stay there again. I appreciated the bar-sized refrigerator and the microwave which came in handy.

The hotel staff couldn't have been nicer. Everyone, from the moment we registered to the bus boy cleaning our table after breakfast, was warm, friendly and eager to help anyway they could. The room decor was a little dated, but that only added to the charm of the hotel. Great location to all the shops and restaurants in Bar Harbor.

Acadia Inn is a clean, comfortable and friendly place to stay. Although it is a little bit of a walk from the main centre of Bar Harbor, it is conveniently located across the road from the Bistro, where we had some of our favourite meals. I thought the hotel offered excellent value for money.

Loved the proximity to downtown. We grew up in Bar Harbor and unfortunately our house no longer exists so we had to stay in a hotel while on the island this time and I loved the ability to walk right into town from there and not have to deal with parking during the height of the season.

Clean room, nice bed and plenty of pillows. Easy check in with a lock-box on the door and a physical key. The hotel is 1 mile from downtown Bar Harbor, and 1 mile from Acadia. Breakfast was great and had enough for 2 people plus extra to snack on after a good hike in Acadia.
