Perfect spot for a solo traveler who's looking for a quiet and friendly place. Not too central but then again depends on what you call central. especially in a place like Winterberg. Anyway, hopefully will go back there again and to stay exactly in this hotel. The whole experience was quite indescribable. Extra recommended if you know a few words of German yet still would like to feel welcomed:)

The pillows were by far the best we had in any hotel in Germany! Spectacular night sleep. Would go back just for those, but the sauna with panoramic view completes the awesomeness of this place. On top of the outside pool (which gets a great view of the sunset), there is a gigantic indoor pool (this one unfortunately closes at 19h) and a great indoor wellness part that stays open until late.

Ferienpark Winterberg is located in Winterberg in the North Rhine-Westphalia region, 600 meters from Bobbahn Winterberg and 1.8 km from Kahler Asten. 200 meters from Skiliftkarussell Winterberg. Big appartement for great value. It was modern, clean and fully equipped.

Featuring a spawhich is accessible for an extra charge, Vakantiehotel Der Brabander is located just 500 metres from Winterberg’s centre, directly next to the popular ski resort. Foods are good. Staffs are helpful.

This attractive 4-star hotel is a 3-minute walk from Winterberg's town centre. It offers stylish accommodation, free Wi-Fi and a spa with a swimming pool. We liked the cleanliness of the room and bathroom, as well as having a space that we can enter from outside the Hotel to leave our ski things.

The breakfast was simple but filling. There were beers and soft drinks available from a fridge. The swimming pool was large enough to do some exercise in and to cool down in after a hot day. The lady that greeted me was very friendly and helpful.
